As the Years Go By...

I have been a member of the Otaku community for over two years now. It may not seem like a long time, but in reality, staying in the same place on the internet without getting bored for a long time is an achivement within itself. But that isn't the point here.

Like I said, I've been a member for a long time. I've seen plenty for super, amazing artwork that I think no doubt came from super, amazing people. Amazing wallpapers, amazing stories--they're all here, on TheOtaku. Sometimes, I feel as if I contributed a tiny bit--a fanart here, a comic there, a story over there.

I'm getting off track. What I'm trying to get at is how Otaku is growing with new members constatly. I recently hugged/voted for a fresh member, The work was entitled: "Thanks for the Hugs!" I hugged the member, and took a look at the persons portfolio.

"Wow" I thought, "I remeber when I used to have artwork on lined paper, and this style is kind of familar, as if I've drawn it before. There sure are a lot of new members nowadays."

We are at a new generation, Otakuites. As the years go by, many members leave us, but many more join us. Someday, they just might be at the top of Otaku, and you could say "I remember when that user was a fresh newbie!"

As the years go by, we start to realize just how big the world is.
