Room 56 was Yuuta's and mine. I grabbed my key from Caleb and headed up the stairs after making sure Raine grabbed hers and was getting along ok. I walked her to her room befoer I continued to mine.
Opening the door, I was surprised at how big it was. I threw my bag on my bed and looked out the window at the great view. I looked out over the city and I found I could see my father's building off in the middle of the city. I felt a pang in my chest.
Why did it seem that no matter whom Raine and I got close to, they always seemed to let us down? It was one of the reasons why I was so distant with people, and it was why Raine threw herself at guys. She wanted the attention of being loved, of being wanted. She was too fragile to know that she would just end up hurting herself.
Yuuta came up behind me and looked out at the vast expansion of the city, "Isn't it great?" he said.
I glanced over at him, "Huh? Oh, the view. Ya, its great," I nodded as I shoved my hands in my pocket.
