Let's Have Some Fun

✿ Eternity ✿

Jeez, being an Astrum Angel was tough work! Let's see... First off, I fell off a cliff, and Erlos saved me just in the nick of time! I totally could have saved myself, but oh well... And he said he wanted to punish me too! Was this guy really an angel? Then, there was the strange green haired girl with the black bifocals and her condescending tone. While the rest of the world fell into a deep sleep, she was one of the few remaining awake. It was strange... And then, some random "Code Red" Erlos was going on about. I quickly flew to Cloud Nine and placed her in the hands of a trusted friend, and then flew back to assist Erlos with his Code Red. Whatever the heck that meant...

Swooping in straight through the window, I noticed a shadowy form in the corner of the room, arms raised and ready to pounce. A trembling girl looked up fearfully as shards of glass were flung across the room. I quickly retracted my wings and dusted myself off, beaming brightly despite the situation. What? A smile could brighten up anything!

"W-Who, who are? Angel! No way, you will not succeed! I will take this girl and corrupt her!" the demon screeched, turning it's eyes full of bloodlust from me to the mortal girl.

The door broke down just then, as if on cue, and in walked Erlos. Jeez, he was slow. Pretending like he was all rushing here for a Code Red, when he probably took his time getting here. And he says I need to be punished!

"Eternity, why haven't you obeyed my orders. Wait, where is that girl anyway?" Erlos asked, looking around the room.

I sent him a dubious look. Did he not trust me or something? "Ah don't worry dear Erlos, she is in safe hands," I trilled.

"Safe hands. That's it girl, second punishment for you." Erlos grumbled angrily.

"My, my. Are you perverted. You really want to punish me," I teased him, a playful grin on my face. His face turned red with embarrassment and I laughed.

"I didn't meant that punishment. I thought..." he began, but was cut off by the shriek of the demon.

The thing charged towards the human girl, but she was fast and chucked a vase at it. "You are going down girl! This time I will... W-W-What...? Wha..t is..."

Before the demon could even finish its statement, Erlos had finished it off. The evil being dissolved into a pile of dust, and the girl stood there in the center of the room, as shafts of sunlight shone through the cracked window, staring at both of us in awe.

"Floria, you are coming with us. Don't worry, your real sister and mom are safe and sound. She will remain here until the time comes. But until that time, you are coming with us."

"Yes! As you say! As long as I will have a happy life later!" Floria obliged eagerly.

Floria, so that was her name. It was a very pretty name, indeed! And she looked nice enough, too... I knew we would be fast friends. "And you will. I am sure in that. My name is Eternity and this is Erlos. Don't mind him, he likes to be bossy."

The girl laughed, and I extended a flower towards her, figuring that she liked flowers from her name. The house also had the distinct scent of roses, lilies, tulips, and even sunflowers, mixing together to create a bouquet of aromas. "Here take this. It is a special flower name Xolia, from the plains of great angelic clouds."

Floria took it happily, the light streaming through the window reflecting off her excited face. I took her hand and unfurled my wings, flapping them and beginning to fly out of the house. It was time to report back to Cloud Nine, where we'd convene with the other mortal girl we'd collected, and hopefully join up with Evelyn and Valor. I was slightly worried for a moment on how they were doing... Hell was a scary place, after all!

"Eternity? Where are you going?" Erlos's voice came from behind me as he hurried to catch up with us.

"Cloud Nine, where else, silly?" I told him, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

I quickly sped up, clutching Floria to my chest protectively. The necklaces I wore around my neck jangled as we twisted and twirled throughout the sky. I heard the nagging voice of Erlos's warnings from far behind, but kept on going, speeding up until we had finally reached the palace of the Dream Cloud.

Floria's hazel eyes widened at the sight, a much better reaction than the deadpan Juliet had given when we had arrived a few minutes before. The angel I had given Juliet to jogged towards us right as Floria and I touched down on the cloud's soft, but firm, surface.

"Eternity!" Vera complained loudly. "You didn't tell me the girl was going to be such a pain!"

Behind her, a cold Juliet appeared, striding towards us slowly. Her eyes were leveled and her jaw was set in a thin line. Wow, she seemed really angry with us... I was somewhat scared of the iciness in her eyes.

"Eternity, that was dangerous," Erlos scolded me when he finally reached us.

"Erlos, you're so slow!" I teased him, beckoning him over. "Hurry up now, you old geezer!"

Erlos muttered something under his breath but came to join us anyways. Vera was still whining about the trouble I had given her, but quickly took off, quickly explaining she had an assignment. Now, it was only Erlos, Floria, Juliet and I left on the brink of the cloud.

"Anyways... Let's get you guys to someplace nice and cozy!" I clapped my hands and looped my arms through both of the girls', skipping forward and dragging them along. Erlos followed close behind as we weaved and dodged through the heavy traffic in the main city. When we finally reached the palace, the guards opened the gate rather fast and we made our way to the palace.

"Wow!" Floria gushed, awestruck, "You guys live here?!"

"Not exa-" Erlos started.

"Of course we do! I'm the queen of the castle, and Erlos over here is my trusty servant!" I smiled, gesturing towards the finery of the decor, the high ceilings and marble floors.

"That is amazing!" Floria breathed.

"She's not serious," Juliet murmured monotonously.

"Am too!" I shot back, sticking my tongue out at the girl. We were certainly not getting off to a very good start, now were we...

"Let's just see you all to a room," Erlos interjected, breaking up a potential fight. I let the girls have their arms back, instead following Erlos through the winding hallways of the palace. It was breathtakingly large, with fancy chandeliers and portraits of important angels all over the place.

When we finally arrived at two vacant rooms side by side, I ushered each girl into their respective living areas and allowed them to explore the place for a moment, dragging Erlos over to the side to speak with him privately. "So... Now what do we do?" I asked him, eyebrows raised. I twisted a lock of shoulder-length auburn hair around my finger absentmindedly.

"We scout for more mortals that are awake, of course."

"Oh yeah!" I apologetically rubbed the back of my head. "I forgot that there might be others!" Lowering my voice slightly, I added, "How do you think Ev and Valor are doing?"

Erlos produced a white orb from his long coat, holding it on the palm of his gloved hand for me to see. The surface of the globe was shiny and reflective, and all I could see were two large gold-ish eyes gazing back at me. "Who's that?" I questioned curiously, pointing at the white sphere.

Erlos sighed and shook his head, motioning for me to continue looking at the shiny surface of the orb. Suddenly, the picture inside of it changed from the familiar stranger to two figures soaring through a dark place. I could practically feel the heat of that place through the small glove in Erlos's hand.

"Is that...?" I trailed off, knowing the answer to my question. No doubt it was Ev and Valor.

Quickly pocketing the mysterious object, Erlos turned away and began walking down the winding hallway. "Wait!" I called after him. "Where are you going?!"

"Find the rest of the humans that are awake. You, stay here with the girls," Erlos instructed me in a stern tone, making me want to do the exact opposite of what he said.

"Hey, Juliet, Floria?" I peeked into the girls' rooms, seeing Juliet perched on the edge of her queen sized bed and Floria dashed around the room excitedly. "Want to go and have some fun?"

"Yeah!" Floria exclaimed, rushing towards where I was. Juliet calmly reached us, showing no emotion on her face whatsoever.

Well, at least I had a captivated audience... And besides, doing anything that went against Erlos's orders was what I loved doing best.

So, I was gonna have Eternity go to Hell in search of Ev and Valor, and then that is when she will get captured. ^^ But that will be for another post! This post already sucked enough. XD
