Last Taste

❖ V ❖

Hah, that boy was such a tool. The only thing he wanted was a female in his bed, and I doubt he was very picky about that, either. Hell, if I saw another demon slut wrapped around him, I was going to slap him in the face. Just the thought of it made my blood boil, although I couldn't figure out why. Fox could go die in a hole for all I cared. He wouldn't be missed.

"V! Wait up!" Speak of the devil. I rolled my eyes and turned to regard Fox coolly as he approached me from behind. He looked slightly winded as he came to a stop beside me, clutching his stomach and groaning uncomfortably.

"What are you moaning about, wimp?" I snapped, not slowing down my pace at all.

"Freakin' angel whore kicked me in the stomach," he grumbled irritably, scowling at the floor. "Wouldn't even sleep with me first."

I cast a sideways glare his way, "You're a moron."

"Yeah, well, I'm a sexy moron," Fox smirked and flexed a toned bicep in my direction, winking one of those smoldering eyes. "And, guess who owes me five minutes?"

I mentally groaned. I had been hoping he'd forget about that little deal, shut up, and be a good little idiot. Looks like things weren't going in my direction. "What five minutes?" I stalled, not even glancing his way.

Fox placed a hand on my shoulder, pushing me into one of the walls of the hallway. The surface I was pressed up against now was smooth, emanating a slight warmth from it's dark surface. The only thing that illuminated the corridor were the veins of lava that flowed through the rocky walls. In the dim light, I could see Fox's figure perfectly looming over me.

"You know exactly what five minutes I'm talking about, baby." I could hear the smirk in his voice, that satisfied grin he had plastered across his face now. He was only a few inches taller than me, but he wielded his height to his advantage.

"Do you have a death wish?" I asked him snidely, placing a defiant hand on my hip. He placed his arms against the wall I was leaning on, pinning me against it.

"Do you?" he replied evenly, and it seemed to get even darker in the vacant hallway. Please, someone, come and save me now, before it's too damn late and I just attack this moron.

I opened my mouth to say something, but he cut me off with his lips, pressing his to mine with a fierce urgency. Working his hands down my body, he wrapped her arms around me, pressing me as close to him as I could possibly get. I began to forget about everything around me, swallowed up in the heated bliss of Fox and me. Bodies entangled, panting for breath, it wasn't until five minutes later did I realize how timeless the kiss had been.

"That five minutes," Fox murmured in my ear, stepping away from me and trotting down the hallway.

"Bastard," I muttered, clenching my fists. How dare he do that. I was the one in charge here. I did not get thrown off my guard.

A voice cleared its throat in the opposite end of the hallway, and I saw Devion, Merlox's little servant. He said something about an angel they had captured or whatever, so I followed them to a largely enclosed space dotting with trees. The branches of the white plants reached up towards the high ceiling like bony fingers. Reaching for Heaven. I had the sudden urge to use a chainsaw and cut all the damn trees down...

Chained to one of said trees was a fairly pretty looked girl with shoulder-length auburn hair and bright eyes. The foolish human Leon was sitting next to her, apparently speaking with her. What the Hell was he doing?

"Go back to your room," I ordered him, somewhat annoyed at his apparent infatuation with the angel. Remember which side you are on, fool.

Leon stood up and left, albeit reluctantly, with a slight nod of his head towards Devion and me. I assumed Eternity had been acknowledged in that gesture as well, making my eyebrow twitch.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" I inquired, placing a hand on the trunk of the tree about the girl and leaning over her. "What's your name?"

When she didn't respond, I kicked her in the stomach and repeated my question. She coughed for a few moments and then whispered, "Eternity."

"Eternity... Too bad you won't live for that long," I sneered, squatting down in front of her and slapping her across the face. She may have been beautiful, but she wouldn't be after I was finished with her. Fallen angels were the best type, don't you think?

Her arms were chained above her to the tree, and her legs were bound with rope, so all she could do was glare at me with a hatred that shone in her hazel eyes. "You're a meanie head," and she stuck her tongue out at me. The audacity of this stupid little...

I took a deep breath and turned away from the girl before I killed her there on the spot. There were a few things I needed to wheedle from that pretty little mouth. I turned towards Devion and instructed him carefully, "Get all the information you can out of her, and then kill her. But not a minute too early or too late."

Devion nodded silently and turned back towards the angel, and with a satisfied smile I walked away. A chill ran down my spine, causing me to look up towards the ceilings. I could barely make out the weaving and curling of a wisp of black smoke, and I immediately knew what it was. How I had missed my precious shadows! They hadn't been around for a while.

Suddenly I heard the audible beating of wings. What the Hell was that?! From down the winding hallways, I could barely make out a flash of white, and knew instantly what it was. Another angel. Where they everywhere?! Unfurling my wings and raising into the humid air, I prepared to meet the girl head on. Astrum or not, she would get a good taste of the Kage Clan.

Her last taste.

I love VXFox. XD Tried not to let my mind run away with that one. LOL. I kid, I kid. ^^ Hope you liked the post, and I was thinking of having Ev fight V for a while, then Fox comes to help and they take Evelyn tie her up too, and then the shadows come for her and then she turns evil? Who knows. :)) Let me know what you think!
