I'm diiiiiieing!!!! Not really, but I do have a little bit of a cold. Bleh, and it doesn't help that I have to work tonight at a soccer game and then go to tower for a bon fire...oh boy. But its okay...because I am getting paid to watch a soccer game! Its rather exciting, seeing as I haven't been to a real soccer game since I last played over in Holland. I'm actually kind of excited about it. Seeing a game played right in front of me instead of on the tv? Priceless.
The career fair is coming up soon too. You know what that means? Its time to dust off my resume, fix it up a little, and print off multiple copies so I can get an internship this summer! At least, thats the goal...my GPA isn't so good right now...but I really can't help that. Last year just killed me. This year I will do so well it'll make their heads spin!
I finished the Ninja picture as well. I'm actually kinda proud of how much I've improved my shading. There is still a little bit more I need to do, but for now I think its good enough to post on here. I might do that after the soccer game, or tomorrow. I'd do it now, but I need to go eat before I go to the soccer game. Food is good for me...
I'm about to go to work and since I'm not going to be on tomorrow or the rest of today I thought I'd update and visit everyone who updated when I get back online at any point when I take a break from studying. I have been snuck up upon by homework and social obligations. We had the big game this weekend and everything else seemed to pile onto everything else so now I have two lab reports, three homework assignments, laundry, and over 200 pages of reading to complete within the next three days. Its going to be a LOOOOONG week.
I'm already looking forward to the crash I'm going to have by the end of this week, which isn't good because I have two midterms next week. Man oh man, this isn't going to be good. I think its should be illegal to have an exam at 8:00 in the morning, then make a lab report due the next day. Thats just cruel and unusual punishment. ARGH! I almost asked for the day off today, but a poor college kid has to make money somehow. Oh, I also forgot to mention that my advisor added a class to my schedule that has its first meeting tonight. Oh this semester is going to kill me from all the stress.
I forgot to mention, we won the game. I still can't believe it. It was amazing. We won in triple overtime...it was crazy!
It purple...and not a cool purple...its a powder purple. And its a taurus, just like I thought it would be. I just can't get over how girly the paint job makes the car look...and it only had a quarter of a tank of gas! I mean really, who does that? Here valued customer, I give you a car with a quarter of a tank. Now I have to fill it up if I want to go somewhere and that means I'm going to waste a lot of money on the car when I'm not going to be using all that gas. Ugh, so stupid!
That aside, my class, Computer Architecture, is making me rather angry as well. The questions are way too abstract and it makes it hard to answer. If I don't cover everything I miss all the points...cover too much and I lose half the points because thats not what they wanted. And, when its not being abstract, it decides to give you a question that we didn't go over in class and the book only mentions it in one paragraph that you wouldn't even remember it was said! Rawr!
Luckily, in the little free time I do have, I have been able to start drawing that ninja I said I wanted to draw a while back! I'm actually quite proud about how well its coming along. Which is really weird because I have done some shadowing and I think I'm doing an okay job at it...lets hope the rest of it goes that well...
I just got a new phone. I don't know how I feel about it. Its an android phone made by google. I just got it all set up and (again) I am procrastinating homework. In my defense though, I have been on campus from 8 this morning till 20 this afternoon. I'm so tired I just want to go back to sleep. And my stomach has been cramping all morning as well. It finally stopped right now, so I'm in a pleasant lull with a nice bottle of Root beer. Anyone want to do my History 201 homework? No?
Didn't think so. Tomorrow I have to go take my car in. I'm not looking forward to it. Luckily I already have my temporary permit, so I don't have to worry about going and seeing the parking division. Bleh. I don't like those guys purely because of the job they have. I got three tickets last year and one of them was utterly bogus. I paid it though, so they can't complain. I also need to do laundry soon, but I don't want to do it until sunday if I can.
My mom is talking about coming here and seeing me. I think its an excuse from my father to come and see the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game. Again, I'm not looking forward to that. Why? Because of all the drinking that comes after the game. Iowa fans are notorious for their drinking habits and ISU fans really like to drink if they win...or if they lose. Needless to say, its going to be very very busy around here in a couple of days and I don't want all the people everywhere. Its all just a pain. I always watch the game though. I do enjoy that.
I really really really want the box my mom sent me. Unfortunately, the mailroom isn't open. In fact, I got they got the box saturday night, but they had closed by the time I received the e-mail. Sunday, closed. Today, closed. Tomorrow, doesn't open till 9 and I have a class at 8. Damn you life. So I won't be getting my package till Wednesday...maybe. It all depends on if I get some extra time tomorrow. I hope I do. Staying on campus for 12 hours is no fun.
So...I take my car in to get fixed Wednesday and the mystery car will no longer be a mystery. I really want to know what I'm going to get, but I have no idea. I'm pretty sure it'll be a Taurus. I don't like taurus. They are really annoying to drive if you're used to chevys. I'll take what I can get though. I can't really complain much.
Also, three day weekends when your an upperclassman at college is REALLY boring. I had nothing to do and my jobs are university based so I didn't have work all weekend. I'm sooooo bored and tired of using my brain to do homework. But I really should get back to doing my lab report...especially since its due tomorrow morning...ya...
