Problem? No problem.

I forgot how hard it is to write a short story. I've been working on the one I promised for my creative writing world for the past couple of days now, and I'm not even sure I'll finish it today. I'd say I'm about 1/3 of the way through it, more or less.

It would help if I weren't so easily distracted. My attention span has eroded to that of a coked-up hamster. I'll write a few lines here and there, and then I'll get up and walk around for no reason at all (this is how I get all my writing done, whether it's creative or not). Then I'll sit back down and write some more lines.

Um, then I'll get distracted and play Earthbound for five or six hours. >_>;

Just one more reason why we should be in awe of Beck, I suppose. You have a will of steel, my friend.

Oh well. I'll finish it eventually, haha. I think my other main problem is that I'm afraid it will stretch on too long. I never know when to stop; I have too many ideas, and I ramble on lol. I think it's decent rambling but rambling nonetheless. Hmm.

In other news, I am looking forward to the inaugural theOtaku.com chat tonight. I don't go on AIM nearly as often as I used to, and I'm perpetually on this site whenever I'm on the computer, so this is pretty kickass in my opinion. I'll be there later. :)

Beardwatch: Week IV

Hello, everyone! Sorry, this post is a day late -- I fell hard for Gurren Lagann during the weekend and spent most of Sunday and Monday morning watching the entire series. >_>

(Speaking of anime-watching, I finally caught up with Shugo Chara! the other day. Huge WTF @ episode 25. Also, massive LOL @ Des, hahahahahaha. That was pretty funny.)

Anyway! I may have stopped posting, but the beard never stops growing. It is also starting to become slightly itchier. If this doesn't stop, then I shall pay serious consideration to shaving it once it's fully grown in -- I'm the type of person who really can't ignore small annoyances, and this will bug the shit out of me every day unless I take care of it.

I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, though. For now, here are pictures:

In other news, as Mr. SomeGuy discussed, here's the tracklist for Rock Band 2!

Songs I'm excited about (with corresponding YouTube evidence):

-- Alice in Chains - "Man in the Box" (pretty sure I'll wreck my voice singing this)
-- Beastie Boys - "So What'Cha Want" (can't go wrong with the Beasties)
-- Beck - "E-Pro"
-- Billy Idol - "White Wedding Pt. 1"
-- Dinosaur Jr. - "Feel the Pain"
-- Duran Duran - "Hungry Like the Wolf"
-- Joan Jett - "Bad Reputation" (big Freaks and Geeks fan over here)
-- Lush - "De-Luxe" (love this band so damn much; if other shoegaze bands get involved with this, I can die a happy man)
-- Motorhead - "Ace of Spades"
-- Nirvana - "Drain You" (even though I totally bombed "In Bloom" the one time I sang it)
-- Rage Against the Machine - "Testify"
-- Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Give it Away"
-- Sonic Youth - "Teenage Riot" (all-time favorite band here, so you know I'm ready for this)
-- Soundgarden - "Spoonman" (this song will probably destroy my voice too)
-- Survivor - "Eye of the Tiger" (ROCKY~! This is going to inspire millions of Rock Band training montages. YouTube will be flooded with them.)
-- Talking Heads - "Psycho Killer" (Talking Heads were MADE for Rock Band)
-- The Offspring - "Come Out and Play (Keep 'Em Separated)"
-- The Who - "Pinball Wizard"

There's much to look forward to, my friends.

Fun Game!

Got this game from a message board:

You're stuck in a mall with a horde of zombies. This is what you get:

One weapon (it can be anything you want, real or fictional)
One song to play in the background while you fight the zombies
One person to fight by your side (again, anyone real or fictional)

I'd say my choices would be ...

- Lightsaber (wouldn't wear down for a LONG time, and it has always been a personal dream to wield one)
- The main theme from the Indiana Jones movies
- Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes (has a lightsaber-ish weapon and would mow through zombies like nothing -- plus, he'd be totally down with fighting to the Indiana Jones theme)

Feel free to make like 10,000 of these in my comments. These are fun. :)

BROOKLYN RAGE

I've just noticed that the Peacemaker box set I bought at AX is missing the third disc. WTF LAME.

Also, you should totally check out my new worlds. For real.

AX '08, Part Two

Here I am with part two! But before I pick up where I left off, though, here's a funny story that I forgot to include in yesterday's post: At the booth where I bought my wall scroll and Mario shirt and my brother bought his Zelda shirt, the...
