Haha, Halloween is quite the busy day, it seems! *woke up to about 15 or so World updates this morning*
Of course, the holiday itself is not the only cause for celebration today -- if you already haven't, make sure to spread good cheer to Sesshy, Indi and Rachmaninoff, all of whom are celebrating birthdays today. Have fun today, you three! :)
Next, this week is voting week for the Anime Club, so be sure to vote whichever series you would like the club to watch next! Also, don't forget to join in and watch eps 10-12 of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei tomorrow -- the festivities begin at 10 p.m. eastern time/7 p.m. pacific.
And, um, I guess it has spread around a bit by now, but I also woke up to find I had won the Halloween Writers Jam! (Right now, this is probably my record for most exclamation points used non-sarcastically in a post.) I had a great time writing the story -- I am not always the best at following ideas through to completion (just look at the poor Books of Moe languishing with no updates right now >>), but I was able to see this story through and am proud of what I submitted. Definite thanks to SomeGuy for putting the contest together and to all the judges for reading the stories. Lots of work there, haha.
My favorite part to write was the bit with Jonathan's college buddies. It was especially great coming up with the strangest combo of costumes for them -- I challenge people to think of a weirder group than Rick Astley, Indiana Jones, Siouxsie Sioux and Katharine Hepburn (my opinion: it can be done, and I would love to see it).
And now here is something inspired by 'Gome. Never really thought about having a harem before, but hey, why not? It took a deep look into my soul to come up with these eight, but I am satisfied with the results. (In a shocking upset, there is no Adiane here -- I don't know how it happened, either. Blame Kanako.) (Also, forgiving my god awful photo editing skills. It at least got better as it went along.)
So, yes, three with glasses (Tomoyo wears 'em, and Yuki definitely looks better with glasses), and most of them have some serious fight to them, although their personalities are all quite different, haha. I also enjoy how they all have different colored hair. lolz
I think the one who is most different from the rest is Kanako. Don't really know what it is about her -- she looks really elegant and graceful (courtesy of the CLAMP character design), but she contrasts that by being crazy lol (although not quite as crazy as Yoriko, but maybe that is just because Yoriko has had more screen time). She just struck me as soon as I saw her in ep1 of Mouryou no Hako.
Lastly, it is hilarious that half my characters are from series with heavy yuri overtones. Unrequited love ftw? haha
