Creator: WyvernWings
Full name: Poet Karatsubasa ポエト カラツバサ
SHSL ability: Tea Artisan
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Birthday: December 15
Eye color: Opalescent (mint green with specks of light blue, carnation pink, and lilac)
Skin tone: Pale but not pasty
Hair color: Lavender with a subtle undertone of cerulean
Hair style: Side view reference
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 190 pounds
Face type: Heart-shaped and plastered in makeup. Heavy eyeliner, bright red lipstick, bright blush, three black dots curving around the outer edge of each eye.
Body type: Tall, curvy, sturdy.
Outfit/style: Picture. Light blue bandeau shirt. High-waisted white shorts. Black thigh-high stockings. Short gray ankle boots with wing details. Long black coat fitted to waist then obnoxiously flared out. Fingerless gray “scaled” gloves. Super thick purple scarf.
Other details: She has faint burn scars on her palms from when she first began brewing. In the hollow of her throat is a dark birthmark in the shape of a feather. She has one small piercing to the lower left of her lips, and one piercing in her right ear (cartilage).
Appearance: Though very tall and somewhat overbearing, she comes across as modest, mysterious, and collected. People typically assume she’s mild-mannered and polite, but she actually has a tendency to have outbursts when provoked. (PSA: Don’t make her upset.) By others, she is typically labeled “bipolar” but that’s not exactly the case. She won’t correct them, though. That’s not her deal.
Neutral Sprite: Starry-eyed and smirking. Somewhat smug.
Personality: For the most part, she’s a very calm soul. She usually isn’t affected by the usual drama, and it takes a lot for her to be interested in something typically mundane. She can be flirty when she wants to be, and shy most other times. She rarely reveals anything about herself, and as such can be perceived as mysterious. When instigated, she will lash out in a fit of blind rage. In these fits, she becomes exceedingly violent, and she seems to possess an uncanny strength. Restraint is, however, possible and necessary. She often doesn’t remember these periods of time, however; her anger is a side she is separate from. Basically, don’t offend her or make her angry.
Likes: Hot beverages, fireplaces, tea puns, Edgar Allen Poe’s work (<3), soft blankets, kittens, lollipops, chocolate, action and romance movies, technology (in small doses), her family’s tea shop, sleeping.
Dislikes: Hot cocoa and tea from PACKETS, competition, early mornings, poetry about love, bad hair days, being cold, spicy food, animals, arrogance (not to be mistaken for confidence).
Strengths: She’s fairly intelligent and is able to calmly assess situations (for a short while). She rarely ever cries. She’s confident and relatively optimistic, but when the situation demands it, she can be realistic in her expectations. She’s easy to get along with, and is a good confidant.
Weaknesses: Prone to mental breakdowns when under stress, dependent, often timid and indecisive, doesn’t take her own advice, somewhat uncoordinated.
Fears: Death, being alone, spiders, herself, her anger, heights, fear itself
Life before school: The Karatsubasa family has been in the beverage business for centuries, and they own one of the oldest tea shops in Japan. It’s been handed down generation to generation, and never has its business faltered. The family has been heavily influenced by Western culture due to the large amount of tourists who visit.
So when Poet was old enough to show an interest in the brewing business, her parents willingly allowed her to try her hand at the trade. Unfortunately, she was but six when this occurred, and her hands suffered serious burns because of her inexperience. But this didn’t stop her.
After seven years brewing teas and concocting new flavors, she became renowned as one of the greatest tea makers in the country, maybe the world. The tiny shop became a tourist attraction, and Poet reaped in the fame.
The headmaster of Prospect Summit had heard rumors of this incredible tea shop and decided to pay it a visit. Upon sampling almost every kind of tea she could make—and letting several hours slip by—he invited her to the school.
