Life before school: Tamaka’s dad was once part of a rock band in the 90’s. Her mother ended up sleeping with him and ended up pregnant. She took care of Tamaka on her own. She loved music from a very young age and picked up drumming when she was 4 years old. When Tamaka was 12 years old, her mother was killed in a shooting while walking home from the store. After that, she went and lived with her dad. He was impressed with her music, but he was always on tour and was almost never home. She was mostly raised by the nanny her father hired. The nanny treated her very poorly so when she was 14, she ran away. She made money by performing her drumming on the streets and in parks. Her father eventually found her 3 cities away. After convincing her to move back, he left his band and started taking care of her. When she was 16, she formed a band in school called Heartless Death. With the help of her father, Tamaka’s band became very popular and very good. One night, while performing a gig at the local bar, the principal happened to walk in. After hearing the band play and watching Tamaka, he pulled her aside. He explained his work and how he loved her energy and passion. She accepted his card and talked for a long time with her father. After both agreeing it’s a great opportunity, she called the principal and accepted his offer.
