Welcome to my VELVET ROOM

games: Persona 4 on PS2

I have decided that the next game I will play will be Persona 4 on PS2. It was earlier this year when I finally completed Persona 3 - which took forever! Despite it's length, I truly enjoyed playing this game - so much that I ended up cosplaying as one of the characters at this past Sakura-Con in Seattle.

I'm a bit over an hour into the Persona 4, and am enjoying it. Unfortunately I think I'm still in the introduction since the protagonist still hasn't even meant Igor or been in the Velvet Room yet ^^; *sighs* Come on Persona 4, let's move the story a bit faster now before all my excitement and anticipation causes me to self-combust *^_^*

games: Infamous on PS3

I finally completed Infamous on PS3 with some help from my brother. It was a pretty fun game - my first shooter-type game, ever [my aiming is still horrid].

I actually have Infamous 2 waiting to be played next. The graphics and game play look good, but sadly the voice actor for Cole [lead character] was change...for the worse. Cole's voice in the first game is so much better than in the second game. *sighs* Oh well, it's not like I'm playing the game for the voice, right?

Anyways, I think I'll be taking a break from these action/shooter games for a bit. I'm trying to decide between Persona 4, Dragon Age I, or Elder Scrolls - hmm...

manga: online backlog, geez!

It's been a few months since I last read my online manga chapters - those being the ones for Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, D. Gray-man, and Skip Beat.

Finally had some time and determination this morning to re-visit them...and it was awesome! Lots of good story development, but there were also some that were just "eh."

Anyways, I'll try to follow-up this post later with more specific comments on the chapters I read :)

video games - a 2010 revival

I got to spend some time with my 14-year old brother today since he didn't have school and I didn't have work. We ended up wandering to the GameStop at our local mall.

He subsequently purchasing Bioshock 2 for PS3 with some of the Lucky Money from this past Chinese New Years. I've been watching him play the game...and I must say that it's pretty good for a FPS sci-fi adventure game. I am quite impressed by the concept/storyline - quite original and refreshing. The game play is also quite smooth.

Man, all our oogling-googling over games today has gotten me re-excited ^_^. I want to play too!

Personally, I still love the PS2 games the most! There are currently 2 games I want to finish playing -- and since it's be a while since I last played them, I may as well just start from the beginning - hahaha!!

I am currently deciding which one to start again: Devil May Cry 3 or Final Fantasy XII? Hmm...

Oh, and I also just ordered myself a used copy of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES for PS2. Very, very excited!

*sighs* And then there's also the PS3 games too...*sighs*

Jerkin, the dance

I just don't get what Jerkin is about it. There is no rhyme or reason to this boring dance. And just what the heck kinda dance is it? It looks like the flailing of limbs - and yet it's been quite popular among the youth. Perhaps I'm too old.

Hahaha, even my 14 year old brother is Jerkin ^^;;
