The Ultamite Betrayal

“Kagome do you think by any chance that we can convince your cousin to come back with us?” said Inuyasha

To this Kagome made a face.

“I mean she did say the defeat of Naruku was going to be possible and what if some of what she read isn’t true anyways. She could just be over reacting. I mean you’re afraid of spiders so it could be some petty fear like that” said Inuyasha with a snort

“no offense Inuyasha, but you are such a rock, No we can’t convince her personally I do not want to end up looking like you right now by bringing it up. 2. it’s not something small, I know it’s not, she’s not like that really. She maybe afraid of stuff but if it’s compared to death don’t you think it’s a bit more serious.” Said Kagome with a sigh

“So if she’s the key to beating Naruku we’re just going to let her stay here?”

“I never said that. I mean if she’s meant to come then she will won’t she? When the times right I think that she will come” said Kagome

“I think we should go back and tell the others about this” said Kagome as an after thought

“Yeah, but after dinner” said Inuyasha with a sniff

Kagome merely sweat dropped
Chapter 2

Antonique laid down on the Kagome’s bed. She looked out the window in thought.

‘I won’t go there. I just won’t,’ she turned away. Her purple eyes glazed over in deep thought. She blinked a few times, but finally her dreams took over and she was gone from the world.

Out the window a figure in a nearby tree looked into the room. Shadows crawled from different objects and closed in on the unsuspecting Antonique. Shadowy arms started to engulf her sleeping form. The figure raised their hand and a pale purple light flew from it and into Kagome’s room.

The shadowy arms pulled away from Antonique, but the light flew into her body becoming a pale glow, then nothing. The figure jumped from the tree to the top of the stairs only to become nothing more than a mere blur in the city.

By the time Antonique awoke the sky was a dark blue. No stars could be seen because of all the city lights. She slowly sat up from the bed and looked out the window. Her eyes narrowed as she slowly let the night air engulf her.

“Someone…”Antionique’s eyes changed to dark green and red orbs. Her teeth grew longer and her hair went wild. She gripped the handrail with white knuckles. She was about to jump when Kagome’s mom walked into the room.

“Antonique, time for dinner…What are you doing?” _____ asked.

Antonique untransformed in a flash, “Nothing! Just checking out the scenery.”

“Ok. Dinner’s ready. Come down whenever you feel like dear,” Antonique’s aunt smiled motherly and went out of the room.

Antonique turned one last time to the temple grounds. Her eyes narrowed, but she slowly backed away shacking her head.

“I will not go there. Nothing can make me go there, you hear me? Nothing.”

^^^With Kagome and Gang^^^

Kagome sat in Kaede’s hut with Shippo in her lap.

“I wonder why Antonique doesn’t want to come over here. I think she’d like it. And I really want her to meet you guys,” Kagome spoke softly in thought.

“I really don’t care. She seems weak and she’d just hold us back,” Inuyasha murmured from across the hut. Kagome’s eye twitched at Inuyasha’s ill-mannered response…we all know what happens next right?

“Sit boy,” Slam, “Sango what did you say you heard in the village over?”

Sango looked up from playing with Kilala, “Apparently a strange man in baboon skin is looking for someone. Nobody knows who it is, but rumor is that it’s a woman. What would Naraku want with a woman?”

“I could tell you many things men want with women, but-”

Smack!

“I hope everything will be okay over there while I’m gone,” Kagome petting Shippo’s tail.

“Everything has been okay before. Why would it change now?” Sango comforted.

“You’re right. Everything will be okay!” Kagome smiled.

^^^Two Weeks Later With Antonique^^^

Antonique was sitting at Kagome’s desk doing her physics homework when Souta walked into the room.

“Dinner is almost ready…what are you doing?” Souta maneuvered around Antonique’s shoulders to see her book open, calculator being used vigorously, papers scattered, two broken pencils, and Antonique flipping through a notebook and writing down formulas. Souta sweat-dropped, “Are you even listening to me?”

“Sure,” Antonique pulled her hair back turning to Souta, “Does this look right?”

Souta looked at the numbers and equations with a blank look.

“Looks good,” Souta replied slowly.

“That’s what I think too. But I don’t know what the direction of the .44 kilogram ball will go…Probably west since it hit the .22 kilogram ball going east...But maybe they’ll both go east. No, it will probably go west,” muttered Antonique.

Souta looked down at the paper and saw a lot of…stuff was the only way he could describe it. Antonique wrote down east for both and looked at the calculations that she made. Admiring her work for a brief second she closed the notebook, put her homework in a folder and closed her book. She turned around and stretched.

“Why are you doing that?” Souta questioned as Antonique walked out of the room.

“I was bored.”

Souta stopped dead in his tracks with a shocked expression.

“Fun?!”

“Yes. You get your kicks from video games, I get mine from physics,” Antonique turned to face her young cousin lifting an eyebrow, “you have a problem with it?”

“…No…”

“Good, now let’s get some of Auntie’s food. I’m starving!”

“I would be too if I did physics for fun,” Souta mumbled.

Antonique smiled and led to the kitchen to help out. At the end of the stairs Antonique stopped abruptly making Souta ram into her back. Souta rubbed his nose while Antonique seemed to study the room. Confused, but hungry, Souta moved around Antonique to get to the kitchen, but Antonique put her arm in front of him.

Her eyes narrowed as the room started to shake. Souta panicked and hung on the railing. Antonique grabbed Souta and ran out of the house.

“Stay here, don’t go anywhere,” as she said that Souta’s mom and grandpa came running out of the house.

Antonique run around the shrine to see what was going on. Trying to concentrate on where the epicenter of the shaking was she was thrown by a demon coming out from the ground. Landing on her feet she looked to the demon.

“Great, I always wanted my on mole demon,” Antonique growled.

Antonique ran toward the demon and jumped high into the air and slammed the heel of her foot on the demon’s forehead on her way down. With a howl of pain the demon arched down and started to run to the house.

“No you don’t!” Antonique shouted as she ran ahead of it and jumped on top of the mole. She held her hand down to the back of its neck and a light pink glow came from her to the mole and it screeched and changed direction to the well house.

It plowed through the doors and ran to the well. A blue glow surrounded both demon and Antonique. The next thing Antonique knew, she was surrounded by trees.

‘Shit!’ Antonique thought jumping up off the mole demon and slamming her heel on the mole demons neck on her descent down. The attack shattering the demon’s spine which made it collapse by the well.

Antonique narrowed her eyes and ran at the fallen demon. Her hand glowed a luminous yellow and she disappeared, but reappeared on the other side of the demon. Effectively slicing the demon in half. Antonique glanced behind her to make sure the mole demon was dead and looked in front of her to see her cousin and the entire Inuyasha gang.

“Hi...” Antonique waved slowly.

Inuyasha put his hand on his sword, “What the hell did you do?”

“Um…I fought a demon and won. Now I’ll be leaving you, because I don’t like it here and don’t come after me. Oh, and good luck on your mission or whatever the heck it is,” Antonique quickly turned and made her way to the well.

It was when she about went into the well that she saw red eyes follow her movements that she stiffened and turned around back to her cousin.

“On second thought why don’t you come with me? Please?”

Inuyasha pushed Kagome behind him while saying, “I don’t think so. Go by yourself!”

Antonique glanced behind her. Seeing a flash of red and white Antonique ran to Kagome and hid behind her.

“You can take me home tomorrow! Just don’t leave me alone!”

Kagome looked at her quizzically.

“What’s wrong, Antonique?” asked Kagome, concerned for her cousin.

“Wrong? Nothing’s wrong. Just that I don’t want to go back alone. And if I were you guys, I wouldn’t leave a person like me alone. Nope. Don’t leave me alone or I might attack you! Yeah…Attack you all!” Antonique was close to hysterics.

Miroku shook his head pitifully, “What a waste of a wonderful body-”

Bang!

Miroku slammed into a tree across from the group thanks to Sango’s faithful weapon. Antonique looked at Sango and deadpanned, “I think I’ll take my chances with the well by myself.”

Before she could move Kagome grabbed her cousin’s arm.

“No, stay! I’ll go with you back home in the morning. I was on my home anyway. One more night won’t hurt. You might end up liking it here.”

Antonique looked back at Sango’s weapon, “I don’t think so…but I’ll stay the night. But don’t keep me out of your sight. I don’t want to roam around and be defenseless!”
“Didn’t look like it from over here,” Inuyasha muttered. Antonique glared at him.

After arguing with the half demon and a big sit from Kagome, Antonique was staying the night in Kaede’s village with the gang.

‘I have to leave in the morning. I can’t stay longer than that…I won’t,’ Antonique thought to herself. She was behind Kagome and in front of Sango and Miroku. Even when surrounded she still didn’t feel safe. She looked out into the woods and saw red eyes again. Quickening the pace she grabbed Kagome’s arm and got closer to the hanyou.

‘The sooner the better!’

Well diary today totally sucked! I’m over in the Feudal Era and I have no way to get out until tomorrow morning. I have a bad feeling about all of this. And to think I tried so hard not to come over here. Stupid demon! He started it! I hope Gramps, Auntie, and Souta are okay. I suppose I’ll find out tomorrow when I get back there. Kagome’s friends are…special. I, personally, think the little kistune is adorable. The girl with the huge boomerang is nice, but she gets violent with the monk. It’s scary! Inuyasha is a pansy. I could take him…But with those things in the woods I’m not going to take my chances. And his sword looks like a piece of crap! How does he expect to fend things off with a crummy sword? Oh well. It’s not like he can hurt me with that piece of junk. That one monk keeps staring at my butt. He needs to stop or I’ll end up hurting him. I hope they don’t kick me out of the group for it. Something smells good. I think it’s soup and fresh rice. Awesome! Hope they’ll let me eat some. But I’ll tell you a secret diary…I’d rather have hot chocolate. Yes, because when I’m trying to keep my cool that stuff will always calm me down. I know, I know, but it’s a healthy obsession. I swear.
First things first though. I have to get back to the future. If I don’t…I know terrible things will happen. Manly to me.
