I just watched the latest episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V a bit ago, and while the episode itself ticked me off I really liked the new opening and ending themes for the series that the episode debuted. So on the spur of the moment I decided to post videos of those themes here to discuss them. I apologize in advance for the somewhat poor quality of the videos and the fact that they aren't subbed.
Opening Theme: Pendulum Beat
A lot of things about this opening really work for me. The music gets me pumped up, but what I really like is the way all the major characters show up on the screen with their names.
Ending Theme: Dashing Pendulum
This is a really light-hearted ending, which is a major improvement over the really depressing end theme that the anime had previously. The song is okay, but I really liked the animation that showed all the various pictures of Yuya and the others. I also really liked the pastel coloring that was used for the animation (that was pastel, right?).
All in all, these two opening and end themes are a major improvement for ARC-V. Let's hope that the anime itself sees some improvement here in the very near future.
