Hi everyone. I just submitted a Final Fantasy VII wallpaper as a challenge prize, and just for the heck of it I decided to do a short post about one of the best character themes I've ever heard, the theme for Final Fantasy VII's major villain, Sephiroth.
Now as a disclaimer, I think I should mention that I've never actually played the Final Fantasy VII game. I did see that Advent Children movie that was made as a sequel to the game. Of course looking back, I wish I had looked up info about the game online before watching the movie, because I was having a little bit of trouble figuring out what was going on. Anyway, here's the theme in question.
Original Videogame Version
This was my very first time hearing the original version from the game. I have to admit that I'm pretty impressed they were able to put those vocals in.
Movie Version
This version in my opinion is much more impressive than the original game version. The actual orchestra and the electric guitar are what really make this version work.
That pretty much covers it. I know this wasn't much of a post, but I thought some of you reading might appreciate hearing this piece of theme music again.
