News: Star Trek Turns 45 This Week

Not much to comment here, but this week, the "Star Trek" franchise will be turning 45, but it doesn't happen until tomorrow. Up to date, the franchise itself consists of six T.V. series (5 live-action, 1 animated) and 11 theatrical movies (with a 12th one still in the works) and still continuing to span video games, comic books, rpgs, and novels with the rpg "Star Trek Online" getting updated from time to time to include more and more adventures, races, and ships.

Happy 45th anniversary to the "Star Trek" franchise, with many more years to come.

News: Jonathan Frakes Turns 59

today, "Star trek" actor Jonathan Frakes turns 59. He is known for playing the role of William T. Riker for not only "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987), but also the four "Star Trek: The Next Generation" films, "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995. for an episode cameo of course) and for the last episode of "Star Trek: Enterprise" (2005). Some of you may know him as the guy who voiced the villain David Xanatos for the Sci-Fi/Fantasy animated T.V. series "Gargoyles" (1994). Currently, he is serving as a director for television and he directs episodes for the currently running action drama T.V. series "Burn Notice" (2007).
