For all you Star Trek fans and moviegoers looking forward to the release of Star Trek Into Darkness, scheduled to come out May 13 2013, just a reminder to mark your calendars for January 2013 as it will mark the launch of the 4-issue comic book miniseries Star Trek: Countdown to Darkness, to be published by IDW Publishing with 2009's Star Trek's co-writer Roberto Orci to co-write the story. Though still no word on the story premises, as the title suggests, the minsieries will focus on what will lead in to the main action of the film.
As for Star Trek actor Chris Pine, ScreenRant revealed days ago that he had recently provided a hint on what we are to expect from the upcoming Star Trek movie by satting that the film itself will show James T. Kirk's capability of earning command of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 to the test while 2009's ST film was showed Kirk getting command without yet having his worthiness tested.
