50 years ago today marked the birth of a timeless prime-time T.V. series known as "Star Trek" (nowadays best known as "Star Trek: The Original Series"). Today, the franchise of Star Trek continues on with new screen production installments as well as of course spanning tie-in novels, comics, and video games. Here is to 50 more years of Trek.
