Well, I'm Olivia and this is my blog. I'm not too good at describing myself but you can get to know me and become my friend if you want to. I like to make wallpapers and vectors in my free time. If you're curious and want to find out more about me, check this page ^_^
My main goal isn't having a lot of downloads on my wallpapers, but providing high quality graphics. I try to credit as much as possible, but if you think I used something of yours without permission, please notify me and we will discuss the matter.
Here's my e-mail address, in case you need it: exploring.the.infinity@gmail.com.
I've kind of stopped commenting on artwork. You'll still see me around, but only on better-than-average works. Why? Simply because I've been in the graphics "business" for some time and now I have higher standards than before; also, most of the works here are similar and I've grown tired of giving the same advice, over and over again. Sorry, but you'll only see a comment of mine if I like your work.

My very own personal rules:

  • No stealing my graphics! If you need something I used, just PM me and I'll tell you where I got it from.
  • No guest-book one-liners, "I love your site, I'm addin ya!" or "Visit my site!" stuff! I'll ignore these posts (and the posters). Be creative.
  • Me your friend = you comment on my stuff (posts and artwork). I'm not asking you to comment on each and every one; once in a while is enough :] I don't update too often (once a week at most), so it shouldn't be difficult to come by and leave a comment. If you're busy, I'll understand.
  • If you're PM'ing me to complain about something, provide arguments. I won't pay attention to stuff which doesn't make sense.
  • Moderation: I handle gallery items mainly (wallpapers, to be specific), so if you've spotted some misplaced gallery items leave me a comment or a PM and I'll move them ^_^

If you have a question, please read the rules first. If it isn't answered there, feel free to ask me. Please be polite and I will be as well.

Learn of my awesomeness~

Teen trends

Well, I wasn't supposed to post so soon (lol, 8 days since the last post) but I was thinking about this yesterday. Sometimes I'm amazed at how easily teens change their point of view and opinions, just because there's a certain trend in their gangs. Personally, I find this degrading -it's quite sad when you look at it, but I suppose it's because of the age. Yup, blame it on the age.

First trend I remember was in primary school (1st-4th grade): Harry Potter. My dad got me the first 3 books for my birthday and I was impatient to get my hands on the 4th one. One day, one of the classmates brought it to school! We were in the 4th grade at that time so we weren't really a united group -that's why he left the book on his desk but wouldn't give it to anyone! He was just showing it off because he knew almost everyone in the class was crazy about Harry Potter (me included, me and a classmate used to "throw spells" at each other during class XD)

Next came secondary school (5th-8th grade): I moved to a different class. Around 6th grade there was a trend with Linkin Park. Everyone LOVED Linkin Park. Then came Dimmu Borgir, Metallica and a few others I can't remember right now.

About the time I got into high school (9th-12th grade), the band Tokio Hotel was famous and had a lot of fans. I don't like their songs, they're not anything special to me, but it seems like many people don't agree with me *sighs* Well, I went to my former school to visit my teachers one day, and what I saw left me jaw-open: a lot of the girls were wearing Tokio Hotel T-shirts! "A lot" means more than half of the girls I saw.

I have no problem with other people liking something I don't, I hate it when people try to shove it in my face and make me like it! For example, I've heard a lot of girls saying "You don't like Bill?! You're so uncool!" to their girl friends and looking at them with disgust (Bill's the lead singer for TH). It's a shame that some don't accept the fact that others have different opinions, it would make life easier for everyone!

Eh, I hope this wasn't too boring, I've been wanting to write about this topic for quite some time now. What about you? I'm sure you've all experienced this "trend mania" at one point or another in your lives. Feel free to share it! Thank you for all the support, my dear friends, and I hope I haven't let you down by not commenting in a while, I'm here to stay! Have a great week!

Bad stuff and good stuff

Ok, so after ranting out my frustration in the last post, I'm going to continue it today XD As a side note, since I suppose no one read it, it was about the TV series "Masters of Horror" and I've begun watching the 7th episode :D

In spite of all the things that happened these past few days, they weren't that bad. One of my classmates (Alexandra) remembered the Turbo chewing gum, something we used to buy when we were kids! I mean, that gum's our childhood! XD She wanted us to go look for it so we went to Cora, a hypermarket relatively close to my house, but didn't find any :( It's Turkish and here's a pic, in case you wonder how it looks like:

On Saturday, we went to McDonalds after seeing we couldn't find it (that hypermarket also has some shops, cafeterias and fast-food diners independent from the main shopping place). It was funny because me and Nico (we managed to drag her along too) got something to eat but Alexandra didn't want anything. After an hour, me and Nico having finished eating, she decided she WAS hungry and went off to buy something.

I hate the fact that the Sprite I got was really cold and my throat didn't react too well - I'm sick now, with a runny nose and all that stuff -_-" Why do I always catch a cold during summer?! Anyway, I was really clumsy yesterday - first I broke one of my favorite plates, then a plastic bottle fell on my head because I wasn't careful T_T Why do these things happen to me?! Of course, today was an annoying day because we ended up not doing classes and came to school for nothing!

My dad thinks that making weird faces at the dog is funny. -_-"

Well, I suppose people will be happy with a shorter post this time, there aren't many things to mention aside from what I already have. Oh, and remember to check out Kelsey's wallpaper, Endless Beauty, it's worth your time! Thank you for reading and/or commenting, school's done so you'll see me back here too! (dunno if that's good or bad though ^_^") *hugs* Take care, everyone!

The yuck factor - "Masters Of Horror" short review

Ok, I am SERIOUSLY never watching anything made by Dario Argento ever again. It's total crap, in my opinion. This post is here for me to rant out my frustration at wasting a good hour of my life watching something (why did I? no one made me watch it =_=") I don't know if anyone's actually going to be interested in this, since I don't know many people who enjoy horror films.

Some of you might find this post totally confusing so I'm going to explain it a bit. I've recently been watching Masters of Horror, a TV series with 2 seasons of 13 episodes each, each episode directed by a different director of horror films, a "master" (some directed more than one but that's beside the point). Dario Argento is an Italian director of horror films but I haven't seen any of his films before this episode, mainly because I heard they were based more on nudity and gore than plot. By the way, the MoH episodes aren't connected, they're random stories.

I'm currently at episode 5 of MoH and I have mixed opinions. The intro seems promising (watch at your own risk, it's a little disturbing here and there). The plot outlines seem promising. Why does it end up poor? I must say I watched episode 1 with my friend Nico and wasn't too impressed. It's said that the beginning is important; in this case, it failed. I thought the first episode would be more fit as a "first horror" (first one you watch in your life!), rather than the beginning of such a promising series.

Then came the second episode, which pleasantly surprised me (at least more than the first one did). I really like someone on the IMDb boards' statement: "is there a MoH episode without nudity?" Haven't seen one yet! Anyway, I was lookign forward to it because I've heard a lot about H.P. Lovecraft but haven't had a chance to read any of his writings. It was mildly entertaining though I could predict some of the moments. The ending was a nice twist when it could have failed, rendering the whole thing ok.

The third episode is my favorite one up to this point. Maybe because it's got Robert Englund in it? (he played Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street series) Maybe ^^ He was quite convincing in his role and the atmosphere of the episode was eerie. Finally I felt the series was going somewhere! Still one of the most creepy things I've seen, judging solely by the plot and the execution. Recommended to see at the beginning instead of the first episode.

Then came the catastrophe, the fourth episode! This one's directed by Argento. I had seen it before but remembered only small bits (goes to show how good it was...) so I decided to watch it again just for the fun of it. Jenifer, the "girl" was ugly as Hell, but that didn't bother me too much. What bothered me a LOT was seeing her eat a cat -yes, she ate a cat...- and then kiss the guy in main role @_@ Barf bag, please!! Ugly girl? Check. Lots of sex scenes with said ugly girl? Check. Unimaginative plot? Check. Predictable ending? Check. WTF moments? Check.

This episode really put me off and I am seriously thinking about not watching any more of MoH. Come on, anyone can make a lousy horror film -just throw in a cliche killer, some booby blondes (no offense to the smart blondes), some stereotypical characters, a hot guy, a never-working cellphone, a crappy car which breaks down in the middle of the forest (at night) and you've got your standard horror film. Don't believe me? Check out . It's got a 2.5/10 rating from 312 people and it came out in 2005 - I was feeling generous the day I voted and gave it a 2.

In the end, I can't say what I feel exactly, I'll give it one more chance. Maybe John Carpenter will save some of these cheap ideas. If not, the case is closed. Anyway, thank you for reading this (if you have). You don't have to leave a comment if you don't want to or this subject doesn't interest you. One more advice: if a horror movie is bad enough, it becomes comedy. Jenifer (fourth episode) is neither a horror nor a comedy. It's just too bad. Hope you have a great day and feel free to share your opinions on this subject or horror films in general ^_^

Yin and Yang, I tell you!

Wow, I sure am lazy when it comes to updating XD I really am sorry for not posting more but it's the end of the semester and things are chaotic around here. Honestly, why did teachers have to remember we don't have enough grades 2 weeks before school ends?! I don't get it. Of course, I've had at least two test per week since the last time I posted and I also have one tomorrow (Maths =_=").

Surprisingly, I got a 9 on the last Maths test! (10 is the most you can get) When I looked at that paper I thought I was going to have a heart attack! XD Needless to say, I was extremely happy the rest of the day, pushing things a bit further when I said to Nico "Man, this is waaaay better than drugs! This is a mental ORGASM!!" Someone slap me for thinking out loud too often XD No, I don't know shnit about orgasms and haven't taken drugs.

Waii~! I've taken a liking to manga recently, more precisely under-appreciated manga! Maybe some of you don't know this but I feel squeamish whenever I like something, only to discover it's really popular afterwards ._. Must be my disturbed personality. I've begun reading (and liking) titles such as Akuma na Eros, Beast Master and others you can find listed here. Some of them are mature series but I like the storylines (and the bishies!! OMG THE BISHIES!!!1!!11 *fangirlnosebleedfaint*) Just take a look at my avatar if you don't believe me XD You know you want to click... The guy's from Love Strip if you're interested :3

What the Hell is up with the vector?! Well, I've decided to stop walling for a while. I'll stick to vectoring. However, I'll only vector images from less-known series I love, so if you like artwork from Code Geass or Vampire Knight or *insert popular-at-the-moment series name here*, chances are you'll have to look for it somewhere else. By the way, the vector is from Beast Master ^_^

Ah, I've gotten to the end of my post without even paying attention to the title itself o_o That's my line, I made it up this Thursday after History class. The Physics teacher said we could go home after History class (we have an hour of Physics before History and one after it =_=), so we were very happy! Then came the History test (we knew of it) which was absolutely nasty Yin and Yang! For a greater good you pay with a suckish event =_=" Damn this philosophy.

And to end this really long rant, I'll say this: I'm really happy because I finally bought A Clockwork Orange, by Anthony Burgess! It's the book, and I got it with 3 LEI's (kind of 2 dollars...? I'm not good with currency -_-") cheaper than it would've been via Internet! I can't wait to read it but I have to finish Angels And Insects by Antonia Susan Byatt first.

I hope everyone's doing great, I'll do more visiting next week because I'm too stressed at the moment, having a Maths test tomorrow and a Physics project due on Monday T.T Support is greatly appreciated!! *hugs everyone who gives her support* This bad friend will go cry in her emo corner now because she feels bad for not visiting...

Deadness.

Hello, hello I apologize for the cold, eerie wind blowing through my worlds and wallpaper gallery lately -I've been really busy with school due to term papers and all that >_< There are 4 of them: Biology, Romanian Literature, Maths and Computers. The Biology one was last Saturday (who the Hell fixes a term paper on Saturday anyway?!), the Romanian Literature one was yesterday (my poor hand couldn't take the pressure and rebelled against me after it T_T), the Computers one is tomorrow (dang, I really should look at those exercises >_>) and the Maths one will be next week. Yup, that's right, I haven't read a single thing for the term paper tomorrow but it's not like there's much to study anyway.

As for the Romanian Literature one, there were 2 subjects and I got #1 - a novel entitled "Procust's Bed" (I didn't misspell it, the guy's name really was Procust). Short summary: 2 love stories described through letters the characters send to each other; it's like a puzzle. I had to write 2 pages and didn't know what to write to fill that space -and my handwriting's also small and crowded -_-" I hate writing overly dramatic stuff but this time I had to, for the sake of reaching that limit -I didn't even reach it, I'm 2 lines short of 2 pages! But I'm sure the teacher won't mind, she's nice.

Another thing which bothered me took place yesterday, during Chemistry class. We performed several experiments and were waiting to be graded. The teacher would call some students to him and each told him what they did. I was in the last group so it took him a lot to get to me -it even rang for the beginning of the next class and he still hadn't gotten to me! The next class was Spanish and the teacher doesn't like it when we're late; sometimes she threatens to send us to the high school's library to "study" for one hour and marks us as "absent" too (never happened to me and I hope it never will!). Anyway, I was upset because I really wanted to be graded for my work, I didn't care if I got sent to the library 5 times, I wouldn't leave until I got my grade! In the end I got an 8 (don't know why, I did the experiments properly), but here's the worst part: the teacher said no one would get these grades "officially", meaning they're not permanent and might drop, should we make mistakes. Isn't that sneaky of him? >_< Why are people like him teachers anyway? Luckily, he's retiring next school year *grins*

School aside, Saturday was a pretty nice day. Me, Nico and Sabina (a friend of hers) went to a store called "The Japanese Shop" to buy a present for one of our classmates. After looking through the shop we bought a scarf with skulls and hearts (it was cute, not like those emo ones) and some potpourri that smelled like roses I got my mom an orange-scented potpourri and still had some money left to buy a slice of pizza and an ice cream!

And to end the post on a slightly humorous note, here's an avatar I made for Nico. She's currently obsessed with this rope-skipping group from Belgium, called DDF. She gave me some pictures they gave her and I ended up making parodies of them (we were rolling on the floor laughing at my genius ideas!). Beware, stupidity at its best ahead!

Text: Reverse side of the coin - if you use Axe it won't make you a chick magnet if you're really dumb.

Thank you for bearing with me and my rants I know I'm a bad friend, not commenting on sites and all but I truly am sorry! I'll have more spare time in June, I think, so until then I can't go online that often. Sorry, but collabs will have to wait for a while *feels bad for suggesting them when she's not available* Bye bye and hope everyone is doing fine! *hugs* Oh, and do you like the new theme? ^_^
Question: What are you afraid of?
My answer: Insects and zombies >_< I know every way to defeat zombies therefore I'm prepared! *grabs butcher's knife and takes super hero pose*
