Chapter 4 ~|Vampires|~

Renee sat up, dazed. Forget slapping those idiots, She thought rapidly getting mad. Slap him instead! Sexual harassment!

"Um Alfie, you'd better watch out." Warned Derrick, who had trotted over to see what was going on. Too late. Renee raised her hand and slapped Alfie as hard as she could on his face. She then stood up turned away and crossed her arms. I'm not going until I get a decent explanation for this. She thought.

"OW!" Shrieked Alfie. "Oooo that hurt!" he thought, pain searing through his sore cheek. Derrick poked it. "Ow, ow, ow, ow, OW!" Moaned Alfie. At least the transformation's done. He thought, looking on the brighter side. He looked over at the twins, who were still battling the tornadoes.

They were in their true forms. Sleek, giant bat wings protruded from their backs and where ever they went, darkness followed like a disease. Not that it made any difference; it was getting darker by the second, as night approached. Their clothes were different to, they now wore tight fitting black shorts and a black mask, which covered their faces and went over their noses. Black bandages were tightly wrapped around their wrists both ends free, both about 5 meters long. The bandages fluttered in the wind as the twins avoided the assault of the tornadoes, muscles rippling beneath their skin as they dodged the whirling gusts of wind with expert precision, whilst firing balls of black matter at them. Renee saw their teeth and her eyes went round. "They're vampires! Awesome!" Then she noticed something. She was well aware that it was dark, but she could see perfectly well. Strange.

"May I make an suggestion? Look at yourself." Ordered Alfie, Derrick was already looking at Renee.

"Huh?" Renee looked into the mirror Alfie had somehow produced. She gasped and her eyes widened and her hands reached up to her head. "OH MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY EARS!???" Screamed Renee. "God, I have to be dreaming." She thought. Then she fainted, hitting the ground with a dull thud. Renee's ears had gone and had been replaced with two soft and furry black cat ears. A cat tail peeked around her legs and two magnificent white wings had sprouted from her back. Also strangely enough, her clothes had changed as well. Instead of a skirt, she wore black jean shorts with light purple socks that went up to her thighs. Her pink top had been replaced with a white sleeveless top, which exposed her midriff. She wore black and light purple arm warmers and where her dolly shoes should of been were a pair of black lace up boots.

"The shock of seeing her real form must of really surprised her." Said Derrick, picking up Renee and slinging her over his shoulder.

"You don't say." Agreed Alfie, nimbly dodging a blob of black matter with had been fired in his direction. The twins had destroyed the tornadoes and were now bearing down on Alfie hissing like some sort of wild beasts. He laughed nervously, "I would love to fight you, but have an Academy to get to." Alfie hated to admit it, but he was a bit scared of the twins and they looked particularly blood thirsty and quite pissed at the moment. He turned and ran behind a tree and began opening a portal. "Got Renee, Derrick?" Alfie called to Derrick.

"Yeah! I mean, uh, no." Replied Derrick as Renee was yanked out of his grip. One twin (Ken), had reached out a hand, and the loose ends of their bandages had whipped forwards, like a snake attacking it's prey, wrapping itself around Renee's waist and pulling her towards Ken. Meanwhile, just as Renee was being pulled away from Derrick, the other twin (Akako) had run silently to him and punched him, following through with his other fist, his teeth bared in an animal snarl. Derrick only had seconds to block, he crossed his arms in front of him and absorbed most of impact, but the force of the second punch sent him flying. He crashed painfully into the tree Alfie was behind.

Alfie had finished reciting the portal spell, when Derrick crashed nosily into the tree. Great. He thought, annoyed at the twins, not only because they had Renee. Because they had hurt Derrick. He unsheathed his sword and leaped out at Ken. Alfie brought his sword down hard on the bandages that held Renee. Black swirls of smoke drifted slowly from the bandages and wrapped around Alfie's sword, in an attempt to crush it, but Alfie won. The bonds snapped and Ken threw his head back and howled in pain. Akako ran over to him a growing look of concern on his face. He glared daggers at Alfie, who just smiled and patted his sword's hilt, before putting it back in it’s sheath and catching Renee before she hit the ground. The twins had been born with their bandages and were supposedly unbreakable. But his sword could cut through anything.

Suddenly a gust of wind blew him over, breaking his reverie. The twins were leaving. They bounded into the night sky, beating the air with their enormous wings, sending any loose leaves spiralling in their wake. "We'll be back for Renee." They hissed, disappearing into the black sky. Alfie suppressed a shiver going down his spine. He sighed and walked over to where Derrick was lying. He was bleeding from a nasty cut on his forehead.

"My head hurts, Alfie." Derrick managed to croak out. Alfie picked him up by the scruff of his jacket and slung him over his other shoulder. Cradling Renee in his arms he stepped behind the tree and into the portal he had opened earlier.

Chapter 3 ~|Rescue!_Or_Is_It?|~

Standing a few meters away from them, was a boy leaning calmly against a tree trunk. His mouth was twisted into an amused smile.

"Well, surprising seeing you guys here. Ken. Akako."

"Well, it is a surprise isn't it, Elfie? But we already knew you were here." The twins smiled back mockingly. "I guess you're after Renee as well." Irritation flickered across his face, his composture ruffled, but he soon recovered.

"It's Alfie, you dolts and of course i am after Renee." Replied Alfie as if it was the most obvious thing on earth, " Although you seem to have beaten me to her. Oh, i didn't see you at last years Academy Battle Royale. Too scared?" He looked coolly at the twins. Now it was the twins turn to look irritated.

"We were on a mission." They answered, a bit too quickly. Alfie raised an eyebrow and looked at the twins, snorting with disbelief.

Renee stood there watching the exchanging of insults. She could feel the anger fuming in the air between Alfie and the twins. No one moved. She was still in the strong grip of the twins, but it was slackening as they fired insult after insult at their opponent. She took this opportunity to escape, gently slipping her arms out of the twins grasp. They didn't notice, all their was attention focused on Alfie. As silently as she could, Renee slowly edged away, hoping they wouldn't notice her disappearance until it was to late.

Alfie noticed that Renee was slowly but surely escaping. He cursed colourfully, causing the twins to realise that Renee was no longer in their grasp. They hissed with annoyance and turned and moved stealthily towards Renee who had now broken into a run and was sprinting away as fast as she could. "Why me!" She whimpered. "What have I done?"

"Darn it! Derrick! Two tornadoes! NOW! Shouted Alfie, before jumping high into the air towards the running Renee. A head popped out of the tree.

"No problem, Elf- boy!" Derrick shouted back jumping in front of the twins who had almost reached Renee, who was screeching insults at them.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME, YOU STALKERS!!! FREAKS!!! IDIOTIC MORONS! "

"She's very loud isn't she?" Said Derrick chattily to the twins. The twins had now stopped moving, their bodies tense and alert. Derrick smiled at them. He thrust both hands out palms facing forwards, pointed at the twins. He hurriedly muttered a spell. "Twin tornadoes come fourth!" Two swirling masses of air erupted from Derricks palms, each one about 6 feet high. They rushed towards the twins who were alert and ready. The twins sprang away, chased by the menacing tornadoes.

Meanwhile, Alfie had landed infront of the out-of-breath Renee. He smiled friendly at her. "Once i've i changed you to your real form, i'll explain everything when we get to the Nekozawa Academy." Renee was standing just metres away Alfie, glaring defiantly at him.

"When you say change to my real form, what do you mean?" Questioned Renee who had finally got her breath back. "My day just gets weirder and weirder. Maybe i'm dreaming." she thought.

"I'll show you." Replied Alfie who had been walking briskly towards her. He reached her and grabbed her right thigh and jerked it upwards, causing Renee to fall over backwards onto the ground. Alfie knelt next to her still holding her leg. "Sexy legs" He thought, blushing slightly. He pushed Renee's skirt up so he could see her mark better. Quickly, he licked his index finger ans smeared it across Renee's mark, then sat back, job done.

Chapter 2 ~|Kidnap?|~

Renee looked up, her shades halfway to her face. Blocking the cafe door were two dark, handsome boys, each one leaning on one side of the door frame. They were twins... and were practically mirror images of each other, even the way they leaned on the door frame seemed symmetrical! They both stared at her, with bored looking deep red eyes. It felt like they were looking through her and into her soul. Wowza! She thought, They're pretty hot! She stood there unmoving, carefully examining the boys. Whoa, they even wear the exact same things as each other! These are serious twins! She thought excitedly. There was a long silence. But it was finally broken.

"Are you, by any chance, Renee Yamashina?" Asked the twins simultaneously. This took her by surprise. Renee narrowed her eyes and stared hard at the twins.

"What does it mean to you?" She questioned icily. How do they know my name!? flashed a panicked thought through her head. Both twins just stared blankly at her, before one of the twins spoke looking at his brother.

"It is her, Ken. I heard her."

"And she has the mark as well, Akako" Finished Ken. "Look." He pointed to Renee's right thigh. She took a unsure step back and looked around for help. But something didn't seem right. The was no movement from the inside of the cafe. Everyone... had just froze! It was like... time had frozen it self! She stared awe struck and she started to panic rapidly. No way, she thought, disbelievingly that's.. that's not possible! A voice made her turn around.

"Your right about time being frozen, you know, Renee. But enough of that. You're coming with us." Said the twins, each one moving forwards and linking an arm through hers. Renee blinked, not sure what to do next. Both twins strode forwards dragging her thought the entrance. They both paused and snapped their fingers. The noise and action resumed in the cafe. Renee struggled to get free, but they were too strong. They walked her down the pavement and turned left into the Twink City Park.

"You could at least tell me where you're taking me! " She cried out, angry at this sudden interruption in her perfectly 'should be' normal day. She looked desperately at a man walking across the street, but he didn't see her. It was like she was invisible.

"You are invisible, you idiot. And we're taking you where you belong." Replied the twins, rolling their eyes.

"Don't call me a idiot." growled Renee, vowing that as soon as they let go of her arms, she would slap them as hard as she could. The twins said nothing.

"Hey! Look! It's the Kawada twins from the Freak Academy" Commented an amused voice.

Chapter 1 ~|Wind_Blown|~

Renee said her goodbyes to her friends before starting the 30 minutes walk from school to home. She strolled down the pavement, her handbag slung across her arm. Today had been a good day. For once, she had actually handed all her homework in on time and hadn't received a detention. (That might not sound like much, but Renee was the school trouble maker.)

It was a really warm day today, so she decided to take a break from walking and settled down onto a nearby bench in the shade. The tree above rustled, but she didn't notice. She was to intent on fanning herself. "I'd better get home soon today. I've got toooo much homework!" Renee moaned to herself. A leaf drifted down from the tree above. Her green eyes idly eyed it before snatching it out of the air with her hand. She paused and listened carefully.

"Alfie."

"Fine! Alfie..."

Voices! She could hear some, just about. Renee could feel eyes boring into her back and shivered. She twisted around, glancing up the tree. No one was there. But... I swear i heard voices. She thought, puzzled. "I hope I'm not going insane!" She declared out loud.

Suddenly, without any warning, a gust of wind rushed past the bench, blowing her skirt up. She squealed in alarm, "Kyahh!!!" Desperately, she tried to keep her skirt down.

"NICE LEGS, BABE!"

"And pants, to." Added a quiet voice.

Renee glanced up and was greeted with the sight of some boys from her class at school across the road. The ring leader was a boy with jet black hair and brown eyes. He chuckled, blushing wildly. He whipped out his cell phone and took some pictures. Renee went red with embarrassment. "YOU PERVERT!" she cried out, seething with anger and humiliation," GO TO HELL!" The ring leader just laughed and the other boys joined in, hooting with delight.

In the end, Renee took refuge from the wind in a nearby cafe, her hair strewn across her face. She sighed. What did i do to deserve this? She wondered. Renee stretched and got some approving looks from a bunch of boys sitting at a nearby table. Her mouth curled into a sexy smile, which she flashed at the boys. She laughed at their reactions. As well as being the school trouble maker, she was also the school queen, because of her good looks and her outrageous and likable personality. Her eyes glittered and she reached to her face and brushed the hair out of it. Renee looked out through the window. The wind had died down. She got up from her table and weaved her way through the people and tables towards the door.

She stood in front of the door, fishing out her shades from her bag. "Nya! Where the hell are my shades???" Renee exclaimed loudly. After a few minutes of fruitless searching, she finally found them. She was about to put them on and walk out of the door, when two dark shadows fell across her, blocking out any sunlight.

Prologue

It was a warm summer's day in Twink City. People bustled along the pavements of the crowded street, many lugging heavy bagfuls of shopping with them. Cars raced along the road, screeching insults at each other.

Unnoticed, a portal silently opened in the sky just above the few trees which lined the roads. Carefully, a young boy of about 14 years old stepped cautiously out. Instead of instantly plummeting to the ground, he hovered slightly shakily a few feet away from the portal. His face hosted beautiful blue eyes with a noticeable twinkle and his sharp elfin features and wild shock of blond hair made him strangely handsome. He was wearing a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Buckled to his belt was a long sword. A loud crashing noise from the portal made him whip around startled, just in time to see his best friend tumble from the portal into the trees below. A few minutes later, a head popped out of the leafy canopy of the tree.

" ELF-BOY!" Bellowed a loud cheery voice. The blue eyed boy sighed. "He's such an idiot." he thought. He swooped down and whacked the head so it quickly disappeared back underneath the thick tree canopy, before dropping down onto the branch below him where his friend was sprawled rubbing his head vigorously. His deep purple eyes brimmed with tears and his usually messy long purple hair was even more messier that usual. He wore a purple t-shirt and shorts, topped of with a long jacket.

" Derrick, i told you already. Don't call me elf-boy. CALL ME ALFIE!" Alfie shouted with considerable force, going red in the face. It was so embarrassing sometimes, having a best friend like Derrick.

"Awwww Elf-"

"Alfie"

"Fine, Alfie, you said i could give you a nick-name!" Whined Derrick. And that hurt! He thought angrily.

"I didn't. Besides, enough about that, we're here to look for the target ." Said Alfie meaningfully.

"Isn't that her beneath us?" Questioned Derrick, pointing to a girl on the bench below them. She was wearing a pink mini skirt and a pink strap top. Her long brown hair went past her shoulders and her deep green eyes flicked up to where Derrick and Alfie were sitting, a puzzled expression on her face. She muttered something to herself and pulled out a long fan and fanned herself. Alfie leant forwards carefully and examined the girl.

"Does she have the mark? Check."

"Sure thing Alfie!" Chirped Derrick happily, his moment of anger forgotten. "According to the data we've managed to collect, her mark should be on the side of her right thigh. So, since she's wearing a skirt, I don't think stirring up a bit of a wind won't be a problem!"

"Nice, just get on with it," muttered Alfie as Derrick murmured a few words. A few seconds later, a cool light breeze rolled speedily along the pavement turning into a powerful gust of wind as it passed the bench, causing the girls skirt to suddenly flare up. She let out a squeal and tried with no success to keep her skirt down.

" Yep, she's got the mark," confirmed Alfie, hungrily eyeing the girl's slender legs. " It's a paw print with wings... multicoloured as well. Interesting. She destined to be a neko. A rather powerful one at that." He added raising an eyebrow.

"Is it time to go and meet her in person?" Derrick asked eagerly. The girl had now ran to the nearest cafe to take shelter from the wind, her long hair all over the place. Alfie stared at the cafe and frowned before raising a hand. The wind immediately ceased.

"Let's go," he said a smile playing about his lips.

Back down on the streets in the ally, something stirred in the shadows. Two pairs of blood-red eyes glared out towards Alfie and Derrick. Two mouths curled into menacing smiles.
