That financial return is also one of the reasons I am in my career right now… Though I did not make much of a critical decision nor take much thinking as to what I will choose… It was more like a coin-toss for me… hehehe… Despite that fact, people still confuse me for being a student of my careers not chosen.

You are right, though. Being able to understand how the human mind works will help you in story writing. I hope you aim to get a PHD.

You’ll be graduating soon, right? Good luck, my friend.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying your choice.

I can relate to the part where you said that anime helped determine your career path. I am aiming to be some sort of animator or multi-media artist. I'm only a Junior, (I've been aiming for my goal since 8th grade) but thanks to anime, but I pretty much know for sure on what I want to do with my life!

BUT, being in the medical field would be fun and helpful towards society. Although I'm no good at what some of the requirements could be... for one, numbers... I don't know if that's required, but I'll avoid math-related careers for sure! Plus remembering everything... couldn't do that either.

That was a good story, by the way! You have a pretty decent writing style and it was fun to read. Great job!

Whatever you decide to do next, do what one of my friends DaFeather says: "Live on and never give up on your dreams!"

I can relate to this story so much.... (My parents are Filipino as well; me being a first generation Fil-Am.)

In any case, I feel the same way about having your parents trying to brainwash you into the Nursing field. Being an anime fan and pursuing a career far from related to it is tough. Don't get me wrong though, I would love to be a nurse. Not just for financial security, but out of compassion for others. I do, however, also feel that they forced me into a career they want for me. I know they are well meaning, but I feel that I could do more than that for the rest of my life.

Being in my senior year in High school, I often question what I really wanted to do in my life. After reading your story, I think its time for me to face this question head on. If anything, I want to thank you as a fellow otaku for sharing your story.

    Peace

Your story is very impressionable! Ever since i was first introduced to anime, I've learned a lot more and because of that, I've been thinking about some of the career choices in which I might be able to use some of the things I've learned. But I had never thought about Psycology! I may look into this ^^ Thanks you so much for this essay! Even though it's not labeled as one, you taught me so much

Wow, its really nice to hear a story like this it really is. I can relate to everything your saying too.

I had plenty of times where I question what I really wanted to do with my life, which I think I found. In fact I posted in my world.

Anyway I love hearing how anime has such a big effect in someones life. It was also written well, good job.
