Well, folks, ...heh, I guess I've gotten bad with updating this. I've had a little drop in my free time lately due to a number of factors (graduating from college in Dec, projects both in and out of school, working, interning, etc... heh), so when I update something, it never ends up being my poor little Acetress World here.
SO... I figure if you want to keep track of me/my daily life--if you honestly want to know, lol--you can pop over to my livejournal account.
I tend to update that more regularly with random junk. I'll still post fan art here since it's a nice place to do that, and of course I check whoever I've subscribed to for art and posts, so it's not like I'm going away. I just won't really be updating my world. ^^
Well, that's all! See you around!

My dog Ellie died today. This was barely six months after my dog Otto passed. However, I didn't see Otto die. I watched as Ellie took her last breaths, gasping in my mom's arms as her heart stopped.
However, like Otto, she lived a long, happy life. She was 14 years old in May, and despite her health troubles along the way, she lived a good life--longer than most vets would have expected her to. She was mother to a total 9 puppies and adopted Pepper as her own when we adpoted her. And that's how she will be remembered.

This pic was taken this past weekend at the "doggie party", celebrating Sandie's 14th birthday as well as the others in general. Those who don't know, I had 4 mini dachshunds (aka weenie dogs). We just got a new puppy, Scarlet, a month or so ago, so despite Sandie, Ellie, and Pepper's aging, we at least have some young blood to help us cope with the loss.
Anyway... I'll be on vacation starting tomorrow, so you may not hear much from me for a while, until I get back when I'll probably have more drawings from the long car rides, heh. Have fun out there, see you all later.

I guess I should update after who knows how long since I've posted here...
Well, to be honest... not much has happened. :) I've been working at my usual job at the photography studio and I just started interning at a graphic design place for the summer, so I got my first website design project today. Pretty exciting. :)
Speaking of websites... I updated my personal website... it's now FLASHY! Literally--as in I made it using my newfound knowledge of Flash and its use for website design... check it out:
Not all of it works yet, but you can see the ...5 pieces of art I've actually finished this year... *sigh* I've had a bit of art block to where I can't finish much. That, my life's gotten a bit busier, my computer is starting to retaliate when I use my tablet to where it overheats and died on me... *ahem* but I have a few things I've been finishing up so maybe sooner or later I'll post something here. ^^'
I have started work on Ace of Spades #4... this time just as a written story. Just don't have the time to draw it all out right now, and I want to get the story out while it's "fresh" (heh, parts of this one have been fresh about 2 years, must have a long shelf life, hehehe...). My goal one day is to redraw all of these to make them all professional looking, and maybe see about publishing them... but that's a ways in the future. I need more free time first, heh.
So much as been trying to excape my head, though. I can tell every time I have to quell them to work on something else. They're there, they just won't be paitent for me to finish something, heh.
ANYWAY... I'll quit blabbering.
I will leave you with a photo of Indiana Ace from the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

Yep, Ace has seen "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls" twice AND has an Indy hat. Booyah. No, Ace isn't obsessed right now... nooo.... *runs away singing the "Indiana Jones" theme*

There's a solid black cat with bright green eyes who resides in the alleyways around where I work. She's VERY skittish and nervous and is missing a few digits on her back paw. She's come to be known as "Cricket".
Now "Cats" the musical came to town not too long ago and reopened my fandom (I was really obsessed with "Cats" many years ago, Victoria and Munkustrap are my favorites!), so it was only fair to draw Cricket in her Jellicle glory.
Cricket the Jellicle Cat
http://www.theotaku.com/fanart/view/251760/cricket_the_jellicle_cat
I see her as still a youthful Jellicle, but she's quite mature for her age having lived on the streets all her life. She's always alert and is never in one place for very long.
And we all know Jellicle cats must have three different names; the one given to her by humans is "Cricket". Her particular, peculiar, and more dignified name is "Gryllia" (the Latin equivalent of "Cricket" and also "Comic", hmm). And her third is "the name that no human research can discover
But the cat [herself] knows, and will never confess". :)
I'm still deciding on Gryllia... It doesn't seem to suit her just yet. So that may change, hehe. Maybe I'll call her that next time I see her and see what she does. Maybe that can be my deciding factor, hehe.
And the background in the picture is the actual alleyway where I work. Clever, no?
Ah it was good to draw again. I kept pushing my creative energies aside to focus them more on school projects and schoolwork in general... it was eating me up. Felt SO good to make this picture, hehe. And I'm almost out of school for this semester... It can't come too soon.. whew!
