Though he wasn't entirely against the idea of parties and presents at Christmastime, the cold was definitely irritating. As he trudged down the snow covered streets, Uchiha Sasuke stuck his hands in his pockets. I hate the cold. He felt as though he was revisiting one of the missions he'd taken as a genin in the Land of Snow.
As he reached his own apartment, he glanced up and down the streets, noticing that the inside of every house had been lit with Christmas trees. Konoha at this time of year was much like out in the west; instead of strictly for couples, Christmas was a family or even community event, which struck him with a bit of loneliness. He scanned his house, noting the lack of festiveness and someone felt a hint of regret.
Maybe I should...
Ugh, no. Why had he even thought that? As he tossed his coat onto his chair, he contemplated what the Christmas season would mean this year. Probably a lot of Naruto dragging me into Christmas activities... The thought didn't bother him as much as he expected it to, he noted, and he crossed into the kitchen, obscuring his view of his front and back doors.
*******
I hope that was a big enough opening.
