Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Trials

Hello again! Wow, it's hard to believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving already. Is it just me, or has time been going really fast?

Well, I haven't mentioned this on here yet, but it's time that I do. My Mom was diagnosed with cancer last January, and her condition has been worsening since then. None of the treatments have worked, and things are really bad right now. I know God may yet miraculously heal her, but I don't know if that's His will or not. He knows what's best, but "what's best" isn't always easy. I would really appreciate your prayers for my family right now.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Wedding Update

Just wanted to stop in and say that the wedding a couple weeks ago went great! It rained a little bit, but held off when it needed to, and all in all it was beautiful day. Thanks so much to our well-wishers!

We went to Shenandoah National Park for our honeymoon, which was a gorgeous place. Here are some pictures!

This is Big Meadows, right near where we stayed.

Sunset at an overlook. The park runs along the Blue Ridge Mountains, so there are lots of great views.

We stopped at Luray Caverns, which was incredible. Believe it or not, this a reflection pool.

Thanks for stopping by!

Tomorrow's the Big Day!!

Wow, my apologies for the extreme lack of posts over the last several months. I think it's been a few years now since I've been good about posting regulary ^^; But considering that I'm getting married tomorrow, I thought it was time to write something. I can hardly believe that the wedding's just one day away! This summer really flew by with all the planning going on.

Speaking of weddings, I'd like to congratulate HametsuKuro on getting married, and Wayward Warrior on his recent engagement. So exciting!

So, today is full of packing and all sorts of preparation for tomorrow. The rehearsal dinner is tonight, which should be a lot of fun. It's been very rainy so far today, so here's hoping it clears up for tomorrow. I love that I'm not at all nervous yet - just really excited Can't wait!

Meet the Fiance!

Good news! My fiancé got an account here! His name is Nox Requiem, and I’m sure he’d appreciate it if you stopped by and said hello. He’s posted a couple pieces of his artwork too!

This could be good news for my future fanart as well. I haven’t been posting as much (as I’m sure you’ve noticed ^^;), largely because I’ve been drawing original characters that either he or I designed, and we’ve both been cautious about posting our original characters because they’re quite important to us. Nox decided that it would be okay though as long as we watermarked them, so hopefully I’ll be posting some more things in the not-too-distant future.

I did upload a piece I did for my watercolor class not too long ago, if you haven’t seen it. I also posted a quick-sketch version.

In other news, the wedding has been moved up to this Fall, which I’m extremely excited about. I’ll be graduating from college in just over a month, so I’m crazy-busy with projects and job hunting, but it will all be over soon!

Thanks for stopping by! Let me know how you’re doing! ^_^
