In the Sun

I'm typing this on an iPad in case there are any errors. I'm too lazy to turn on my laptop right now. Alright so here's more from Alice.

ALICE

So today I figured I'd walk in the daylight for the first time since I found out I was a vampire. Well, not exactly. My bee suit came in today and Kateri and I have been dying to try it out. Right now I'm hacking the box open trying to get the thing out. The delivery guy was probably thinking, "What the heck?"

"How am I supposed to put this thing on?" I asked Kateri.
"It's not that complicated Alice." Kateri signed. "Just pretend you are putting a suit on. But first we have to lather you up in sunblock. I found this SPF 100 online. I didn't even know they came that high. Made just for vampire I'm assuming. You would probably need like SPF 1000!"
"I remember the first time I walked in the sun as a vampire.  Thought. Was on the sun itself."
"Ouch!" Kateri brought out the bottle of sunblock and I started rubbing it all over my body. It was a close call with my face. I almost got some in my eye. Once I was all ready I zipped the suit up, place the helmet on my head with my sunglasses, scarf and bandana. Then I attached my gloves. Nothing was getting in this suit. Not even air!

We headed for the front door and I felt like saying, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." I look like an astronaut in this thing. Kateri opened up the front door and I inhaled deeply a few times until I noticed I was hyperventilating.

"What if it doesn't work and I get burned today!" I tried to calm myself down. Kateri was doing some type of hand breathing motion with me which was not helping at all. I heard a loud bursting laugh behind me.

"What in the world?" No one else but Akira. "I don't want to know. But really, enlighten me."
"Well," I began, "I'm going outside in this suit to see if it works. I miss nature."
"Interesting. Well, good luck with that!" She walked off to go talk to some of the others passing down the halls. I stepped it the door and closed my eyes. I was still alive. It worked! I fell over on the ground.

"What! What happened Alice?" Kateri rushed over to my side.
"I just wanted to say hello to the grass. Hello beautiful!"
Kateri laughed and laid down on the grass. "Feels good out here."
"I can't feel anything with all these clothes on." I couldn't believe I was out during the day again. I never wanted to go back inside. I flipped over on my back. "Kateri, I have an idea."

Sorry it's short this time. I'll write again later this week or next week. My fingers are tired haha. Then we'll find out what Alice's idea is...
