I wandered around the large living area, singing to myself. Where was Solana? I had checked every room in the house. Well, minus Griffins, as I value my life, but this was ridiculous. I sighed. She had to be SOMEWHERE. She was probably in the forest, and I SO was not about to go out there.
"You have a pretty voice, Kateri." A voice came, startling me out of my own thoughts.
It was Colette, immaculately groomed and wearing a gorgeous cobalt blue lolita dress. She always looked effortlessly perfect.
"Aww, thank you, Colette!' I beamed. Hmm..no Solana, but maybe I could find someone else to hang out with until she showed up. "Hey, you're kind of into girly things, do you want to come shopping with me? I haven't bought a new swimsuit in DAYS. It's KILLING me, seriously. In Malibu, I would like, shop ALL THE TIME. And I mean, I haven't even been to the town here once. It's re-doodoo-diculous! So, are you coming?"
Colette gave me a polite smile. "I am sincerely apologetic, Kateri, but I haven already agreed to have tea with some of the other girls. You are welcome to join us, if you like."
"Thanks, Colette. We'll have to see." I gave her what I hoped was a grateful smile. Guess I was out of luck. Where could Solana be hiding?
Sebastian was across the room, talking with Akira. He was always hanging out with some pretty blonde girl, wasn't he? Maybe she was into shopping.
"Wussup, Seabiscuit?" I called, offering him a fist bump. He tastefully ignored it.
Akira looked at me questioningly.
"It's okay, we're secretly homedogs." I informed her. "So, Seahorse,"
"Kateri, could you PLEASE call me by my actual name?" He pleaded, absolute despair on his face,
"Sorry, Seabass." He gave a groan, but I plowed on. "So, like I was saying, is that pretty blonde girl your girlfriend? Because I totes need a new shopping buddy, and I thought she might be interested, but no one EVER listens to me when I'm talking to them, like ever EVER, and I thought maybe you could ask her to come with me? Like, I guess I could go alone, but I am the Queen of getting lost, and if I go alone, and I get lost, it could totally be a problem. Like, one time, I got lost in LA, and then this creepy dude totally-"
Sebastian held up his hands, his official sign for me to stop talking. "Wait, you want me to talk Karin into going shopping with you?"
"Yeah! I can't find Solana, but Karin and I could totally be BFFs."
Sebastian sighed. "Sorry, Kateri, I'm in the middle of something now. Why don't you ask her yourself?"
"Because everyone is ignoring me! Weren't you paying attention to my monolog?" I whined. He once again tastefully ignored.
"Rghhh. Thanks for nothing, Seabass." I growled.
Across the room, I spotted Solana staring out the window, dazed.
Praise the Lord! "OH. EM. GEE! BESTIE!" I shouted.
She jumped. "Kateri!! Y-you startled me."
"Sorry!" I said, giving her an apologetic look. "I was just so excited to see you! You do not even KNOW how much I have been looking for you!"
"I'm sorry, Kateri, but I don't understand." She said, confused. "Why?"
"Because we're besties, silly!" I responded. "So, I was thinking would you let me do your hair sometime? It's SO gorgeous, and I have a TON of hair stuff. Bobby pins and clips and flowers and junk, What do you think?"
Her confused expression got progressively worse as I said this. "I'm sorry, but I still do not understand. Why are you doing my hair?"
"Because you're SO pretty! I would legit love to have hair like yours! And besides," I lowered my voice, "We have to make you look cute for that Ace guy you like."
She blushed furiously. "Kateri!!" She hissed.
"Oh my goodness, do not even TRY to deny it! You totally love him. And BTdubs, I came up with your couple name. Solace! OMG, admit it, it's adorbs. You guys were totally meant to be together.
She looked down. "You really think he likes me?" she said, half confused, half hopeful.
"Mmm, it's hard to tell, because he kind of flirts with everyone," At this, her face became downcast. "BUT, how could he not? You're super cute."
At this, she gave a small smile. "Thanks."
"AAAND, if you let me do your hair, you'll only be cuuuteeer!" I sang.
She sighed heavily. "All right."
"Oh my goodness, come on!" I beckoned her, walking towards the stairs. "We're gonna crank up some really bad pop music and go crazy on your hair, and I have this top that would look so cute on you! And then 'let's watch a romcom and talk about relationships and junk. Totally one with British accents. Man, I love British accents! If I had one, I'd never stop talking!"
"I'm curious as to how that would differ from now." Muttered Griffin from across the room.
"Whatevs, Griffin! I don't need your approval!" I called. Solana giggled.
A new bestie, and a couple to totally matchmake for? My life was SO good. Maybe I didn't need to get back to Malibu just yet, after all.

Oh my goodness, guys. So, long story short, my Mum thought it would be fun to go on a 3 week road trip around the US.
Spoiler alert: it wasn't.
But I digress. My point was, I've been without internet for 3 weeks, and so I missed a TON of stuff. So, if I included your character, and they are somehow indisposed or dead or something, please let me know and I will take it out! Sorry about that.
