Akira
I love partying. I mean, I love clubbing and listening to loud music and grinding... Wait, I don’t like grinding... That’s right, huh. I couldn’t believe that I had done that to Griffy-poo on the dance floor. I really didn’t mean to. I lost control or something... I know I did. I wasn’t paying attention or something like that. Either way, I hated what I did. But alcohol... hehe... that’s what I really loved. I had forgotten what dancing was really like after a few drinks.
I couldn’t believe that slut. Putting herself right in front of my Griffy and dancing herself all over him. Good thing I slapped her and got her off my man, even though Griffin told me to not use violence, but thing is, I always use violence, in some way or form at least. I like violence...
I didn’t know Griffy wanted me to act towards him the same way I acted towards that stupid guard, who by the way, told me to call him later after Griffin walked in. Like I would call a human like him. But maybe... I mean, I tried to show him a different side of me tonight. I hope it worked...
I loved dancing the night away, but as the night drolled on, I got really tired and so did Griffin. We both headed back to the hotel and I could barely feel my legs and feet as we got up to our room and sauntered into it, almost tripping over our own feet. I couldn’t help but giggle as Griffin collapsed on the bed and moved like a snake across it. It was funny!
Standing there made me realize how sweaty I was from dancing, especially since it was really cold in here. I probably needed to change into pajamas or something to cool myself down... Heh, cool myself down... Wait, why was that funny? Oh whatever... Anything’s funny right now.
“Hey, I’m going to go and change into my pajamas... don’t peek, okay?” I asked Griffin and after a minute, he nodded, sat up, and turned around.
There was only one bed in our room and one bathroom. There was also a mini-refrigerator, along with a microwave, flat-screen TV, a chandelier, a set of couches, and a coffee-maker. The room was colored with golds and reds, the carpet red and fuzzy, with the wallpaper coated in red as well with golden flowers all over the walls. The chandelier lit up everything in the whole room, including the windows, which was draped in gold, and even lit up the bathroom from a distance.
The bathroom was filled with two sinks, a gigantic tub, and a shower and there was a separate room for the toilet. It was decorated with flowers and white marble, and there was a mini chandelier hanging from the ceiling to keep it lit up. There was a closet that was filled with towels, washcloths, and candles right beside the tub. This place was reallllly prettttyy....
I headed over to my bag on my side of the bed, which if I remember right was on the left side of the bed, and rummaged through it until I found some shorts and a tank top and I didn’t really want to walk into the bathroom so I just started to undress right there and get into my shorts and tank top. For a second, I could’ve sworn I heard the bed creak and Griffin move but I wasn’t sure. I threw off the high heels and got into my new, fresh, dry clothes and then plopped down on the bed beside Griffin, who turned around to see me.
“You look... beautiful,” Griffin mumbled as he looked at me and I giggled.
“And you look handsome, Griffy-poo,” I giggled as I leaned against him and he put his arm around me. Wow, we were drunk, weren’t we?
“We are going to have really bad headaches tomorrow, aren’t we?” Griffy-poo asked and I laughed.
“Yeah, we are,” I told him and he chuckled for some reason. That’s when I felt his hands touch my ears and I realized he had taken my hat off. I forgot I even had it on. Hehe...
And now he was scratching my ears. Oh my god, that felt sooooo good. My tail started wagging from how good that felt. If I had to describe my ears being scratched, I would have to say it was like getting a head massage or getting a massage in general, like at a spa. I had no other way to describe it.
Griffin laughed as he continued to scratch my ears and my leg started moving up and down from the excitement of it, which I didn’t even understand. That’s what happens when you’re part dog. And now my tongue was hanging out. Hehe, I am a dog, aren’t I...?
“Woof,” I playfully said towards Griffin and he blushed as he got in close to my face and kissed me on the nose. I giggled and hugged him, yawning as I did so as he stopped scratching my ears and I cuddled up to him. I didn’t realize how sleepy I was... That’s right, alcohol makes you sleepy doesn’t it...? Heh, sleepy... sleeping with Griffin... Hehe...
I forced him down on the bed and cuddled up into his arms, ready to fall asleep but he sat up for a moment. I think maybe the alcohol was wearing off... Hmm... Nah.
“Let me go turn off the lights... It might help later on,” Griffin said with a smile and I yawned, my canines showing as he went over to the light switch and moved them downwards. The lights turned off and I couldn’t see anything for a few moments until I saw Griffin coming over to the bed and laying down on it. We weren’t even in the covers. He wrapped his arms around me, some of his clothes now being off, but in long pants and a tank top as well. When did he change? Magically, I guess. Maybe while I was getting dressed into pajamas. Nah, I liked the idea of magically instead.
I cuddled up to him then and I realized, besides smelling a bit like alcohol, he smelled like... books. Old books. I didn’t know if that was possible, but it would make sense. He does carry the Tolkien book I gave him around with him everywhere, along with, maybe a journal I think I’ve seen him write in before. I think. I can’t remember too clearly right now anyways. I was too sleepy to care... Griffin was really warm and I slowly fell asleep in his arms.
.:The Next Morning:.
Oh, h*ll. My head. I really should not have drunk that much. I didn’t think it would be this painful, but seriously? Why was the god*mn curtain open? Stupid maid.
I squinted my eyes as I opened them and met Griffin’s chest. When did I fall asleep in his arms? I do have to admit, I do like what I did at least in that part of my drunkenness, at least for this part, but I don’t remember too much. Most of it was blurry. Did I do anything too reckless? I mean, the last thing I remember was Griffin and I drinking and then there’s nothing after that. Not really.
Well, I know to act different, or at least, show Griffin that different side of me that I showed that bouncer, but right now, I wasn’t going to show him. He was waking up just as I was and groaning in pain. I don’t think this was the time to show him what I could do. I think this was time for us both to be in pain.
“Is this normal?” Oh dear god, he was loud. Everything was a lot more sensitive since I was a wolf and had better hearing than most. I winced in pain at his loudness.
“God, you’re loud,” I whispered and he looked down at me with squinted eyes as I whined a little and he frowned.
“I am sorry,” Griffin whispered and I nodded as he let go of me, finally realizing that he had his arms wrapped around me, which we obviously both didn’t mind, but he was embarrassed that he was even doing that act, hence why he let go.
“The light is quite bothering,” Griffin whispered and I nodded and I heard his shirt rip slightly as he extended his wings out and brought one over me so that it was dark and not light. I relaxed some as my headache drifted away and Griffin carefully moved himself over me while keeping me covered, and then blocking the sun with his head, he moved off of the bed, went over to the curtains, and closed them. It was thankfully dark once more.
“That helps quite a bit,” Griffin whispered and I nodded as I sat up and yawned while I started to stretch.
“What do you remember?” I whispered over to Griffin, hoping he might know something. He sat down on the bed and faced me, squinting as he did so. He had a headache just as much as I do.
“Most of everything,” Griffin said after some thought. I narrowed my eyes, trying to remember some snippet, some action I did last night and I could barely remember anything. Maybe the music, a guy Griffin and I met with the name of an E, and everybody staring at us.
“What happened?” I asked him softly and Griffin rubbed his forehead and took in a deep breath.
“We... danced, you almost got into a fight with a woman who tried to get me to come with her, and you also 'grinded' on me-” I stopped him mid-sentence by groaning. I can’t believe I did that... I mean, when did I ever do that before, especially when I was drunk?
“I’m sorry, Griffin,” I said as I looked at him and he just shook his head.
“Do not worry about it. I knew how intoxicated you were so it is fine,” Griffin said with a small, reassuring smile and I just nodded.
“Is there anything else? Anything when we got back to the hotel room?” I asked him, hoping the one thing on my mind was something that didn’t happen.
“You acted like you were a dog for some time,” Griffin said and I groaned once more, covering my face in my hands from embarrassment.
“I only do that when I’m drunk. I don’t at any other time,” I groaned and Griffin chuckled and my head whipped towards him.
“What?” I asked and he just smiled.
“I found it oddly... amusing and cute,” Griffin said and I blushed brightly and my ears dropped in embarrassment. I stupidly played with my ear. Why was I getting really flustered with Griffin today?
“I... didn’t know that,” I whispered and he smiled. He decided to change topics as he sat beside me.
“What do we do to get rid of these massive headaches?” He asked and I sighed, rubbing my forehead once more.
“Well, we avoid the light, we drink a lot of water, and we hope nobody talks loudly or hear anything loud,” and with that, there was a loud knock on the door and then it was thrust open with a lot of bright light coming in. I winced in pain and looked away. Griffin blocked the light with his arm while whoever was at the door spoke.
“You guys coming down to breakfast or what?” Ela burst out of her big mouth and Griffin nodded after a minute of wincing in pain and Ela slammed the door afterwards, I think on purpose. Owwww... I groaned and Griffin rubbed my back after a few minutes.
“Let’s get dressed,” I told Griffin and he nodded and both him and I got up and went over to our bags and got out our clothes.
Griffin said he would take the bathroom and I nodded and once he got into the bathroom, I stripped out of my pajamas and slipped on the blue jean shorts and a black, thin hoodie. I grabbed my sunglasses and pulled the hood over my head once I got my boots on.
As I waited for Griffin to get out of the bathroom, I decided to lean against the wall beside the bathroom door and flipped open my phone. I went to the Gallery and smiled once all of the pictures loaded. I had a bunch of the club, Griffin, Karin, and Sebastian and my smile dropped once I saw an old picture of my father and then a photo of me and Charlie. I hadn’t seen him in years and in this photo, he had blonde hair and bright blue eyes. His hair was pulled back in a ponytail and he was holding his Nobel Prize. I had forgotten what he won it in but he won it at age 12 or something. I don’t know how old this picture was. I had uploaded a lot of old pictures before we left for Germany onto my phone but I didn’t think they would be this depressing. I also uploaded the photos to help me distinguish my nightmares from memories.
“Akira? Are you okay?” A hand fell on my shoulder and I looked up at Griffin, who was now out of the bathroom, dressed nicely in a way that was also like he was in relaxation clothes.
“Yeah, just... looking at old photos,” I told him and he bent down and looked over my shoulder as his hand went from my shoulder to my waist.
“Who is that in the photo with you?” Griffin asked.
“It’s Charlie. That’s what he looked like when he was younger. Won the Nobel Prize at like 12 or something in scientific research. He’s autistic, but he’s smart. He has an I.Q. of 198,” I told Griffin and his face became a puzzled sort, as if he got immediately lost in thought until I bumped him. “You okay?” I asked.
“Yes, do not worry about me. Let us get down to breakfast,” Griffin said with a smile and I nodded and closed my phone. We headed out of the room once we put our sunglasses on and got down to breakfast.
Breakfast was... interesting. I met the guy Griffin and I had met last night once more, his name being Emery. It was interesting how he was a Church Grim. It was basically just another form of a werewolf but he guarded churches. He was interesting, but I didn’t really care about it. Another new member also joined later on and her name was Clarissa and I could tell by her smell that she was a witch or something... Either way, she smelled like something dead.
I noticed how Sebastian and Karin were getting along now too and Sebastian was looking healthier. It made me wonder what the story was there, even though I barely lifted my head from the table to look at them.
Everybody was talking about either sex or last night and I didn’t want to talk about either, except there were some people who did actually decide to bring up me.
“Akira, you were really... interesting last night,” Heiji said and I decided to bring my head up from the table.
“How so?” I asked in a drone tone.
“Yeah, you went crazy! It was awesome!” Kateri exclaimed and whatever my expression was dropped.
“You seriously danced-” Tommy made a stupid motion as if he was drunk and trying to impersonate me, “- and you were all over Griffin the whole time!” And now I was blushing and so was Griffin.
“I was drunk-” I tried to protest but nobody would listen.
“It hardly seemed like you were!” Rano and Tano said in unison.
“And you had so much fun getting all up on Griffy-poo, Akira,” Vevila said sweetly and I had no idea if over half of these comments were insults or compliments.
“It was nice to see you losey goosey though, Akira, instead of-” Riley started off but then Acacia interuppted her.
“A complete and total b*tch,” Acacia ended and nobody said anything.
I could tell she was upset about being here. Everyone was, so I guess this was their way of getting it all out. Making fun, or complimenting me, about last night at the club, when I can’t even remember what I did. I was at a loss for words. I really didn’t know what to say. All I really could do was get out of here. Just go somewhere. I had brought everyone out for no reason. They were all following me out of impulse, out of a stupid device that’s gotten us in more trouble than probably any of us experienced, and on an idea that we could actually... save ourselves from this world that we live in. For the world of hell we live on.
Soon, everyone else started up a different conversation and ignored me as I got up and walked off. That whole time, I knew Griffin was listening and holding my hand, but it didn’t do much. Tears were already down my face by the time I got up and strode over to the elevator and pressed the button to go up. I heard Griffin rush after and he barely made it into the elevator by the time the door was closing. I was collapsed on the floor of the elevator, crying as Griffin bent down to my level and picked me up and held me in his arms.
“They did not need to say what they said to you, Akira. What they said was hurtful and wrong,” Griffin started but I stopped him by shaking my head.
“What they said was correct, Griffin. I did all of that stuff, and even though some of what they said were actual compliments, it still was correct. I am a complete and total b*tch. I dragged them here-” I hiccupped. “-and we’re stuck for a week doing nothing. I have dragged them around everywhere and I don’t blame them for doing this.” Griffin stared at me as I said this and was about to protest but I shook my head. “Don’t argue this, please. I’m tired of arguing with you,” I told him and he just stayed quiet as I continued to cry in his arms until we got to our floor. Griffin carried me over to our room and once he opened it, he let me down and I eventually went over to our bed and just sat on it.
Griffin stayed silent as he went into the bathroom and I heard him open up the closet. Next thing, I’m seeing is a bunch of candles being put on the counter next to the sink and Griffin lighting them all with a match he must’ve found in the closet. My tears started to dry as he lit the candles and once they were all done, he started to put them throughout the bathroom and the whole room itself. Soon enough, the whole room was lit up by candle light and it was actually really nice. I didn’t get a headache from them, thank god, so it was... peaceful.
“You didn’t have to do that,” I told Griffin as he came over and put the last candle on our nightstand. He smiled.
“I felt it was necessary. You do not get a headache, right?” He asked and I shook my head.
“No, I don’t,” I said with a smile and he grabbed my hand.
“If you believe the rest of the club to be correct, than that is what you believe, Akira. I believe otherwise,” Griffin said, making sure to insert that last little part in there about what happened earlier.
“Alright,” I shrugged and he looked at me curiously.
“I have never seen you this way,” Griffin put out bluntly in curiousity.
“What do you mean?” I asked with my eyebrows raised. Where was he going with this?
“I mean, sensitive. I have not seen this side of you either, Akira, same for the side I saw last night when you were with the bouncer,” Griffin said and I frowned.
“Just because I’m always rough, tough, and a b*tch doesn’t mean I can’t have other sides, Griffin. I’ve just never had to show them or actually bothered to show them at all. The sensitive side of me is known only to Karin and Sebastian and you, same for that provocative side of me you saw last night,” I sighed and he just nodded.
“Why have you not acted that way around me? Or at least, the provocative side?” Griffin asked and I hesitated.
“You... have never shown interest in that kind of thing, or at least, not that I’ve seen. I didn’t think that you wanted it, because it’s just a side of me I don’t show too often and that you weren’t into that sort of thing yet,” I said quietly and after a few minutes, he nodded.
“Well, I would not mind it at all. In fact, I welcome it,” Griffin said and I stared.
“You do?” I asked, my voice sounding incredulous.
“Yes, I do,” Griffin nodded in confidence and I just nodded and we just sat there for a few minutes.
“Would you like to watch television, Akira? Watch a movie?” He asked and I nodded. It honestly sounded better than just sitting here and I didn’t want to leave the room and neither did Griffin.
“Sure, but I think that I should put the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door so that people leave us alone,” I told him and he nodded in agreement as I got up and walked over to the door and Griffin got up and got the remote for the TV. Once I put the sign on the door, locked it, and headed back over to the bed, Griffin was already looking through the movies on Pay Per View.
“What is this, ”Warm Bodies,” Akira?” Griffin asked me and I looked at the movie for a minute on the screen before realizing what it was about.
“Oh it’s just a zombie love movie, where the zombie falls in love with a human and makes the zombies come back alive or something, I don’t know,” I shrugged as I sat beside Griffin. We both decided to lay ourselves against the pillows of the bed, which was now thankfully made by the maid, and looked through the movies for a while. I told Griffin about each one and which one we shouldn’t watch and should watch and eventually, we ended up watching Warm Bodies, Identity Thief, and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. It to be at least dinner time by now.
I leaned over Griffin’s lap, since I was in his arms already, and saw that it was about eight o’clock Oh well. There goes dinner.
“What are you looking for, Akira?” Griffin asked and I sighed and fixed myself and got myself into Griffin’s arms once more. It was so comfy in his arms.
“I was just seeing what time it was. We missed dinner,” I shrugged.
“Oh. Well, would you like to call room service?” He asked and I thought about it for a second. I wasn’t really hungry.
“Only if you want to. I’m not that hungry,” I told him and he nodded.
“Nor am I. What shall we do now?” He asked me and I thought about it for a second. I actually really needed a shower, now thinking about it. I hadn’t had one since before we left, and especially with just sitting in the same same spot for hours watching movies, and last night, I desperately needed a shower.
“Well, I actually need a shower. How about I go and take one and you can do whatever you wish while you wait?” I asked and he smiled and nodded.
“Alright,” He said and I smiled, kissed him quickly on the lips, and then got off the bed and headed into the bathroom.
Once I got myself into the shower and turned on the cold water, my ears perked up for some reason and my tail just wagged back and forth. I was happy. Griffin had made me feel better since this morning and I had to say, it was nice. I felt like only him, Karin, and Sebastian were the only people I could trust with my true self.
As the cold water hit me, I could’ve sworn I smelled incense out in the living area. It smelled like lavender... I did have to admit, it was intoxicating, but it was relaxing as well. It made me relax as I finished up my shower and got myself wrapped up in a towel.
Once I had wrapped myself up in a towel and had shaken out my hair, I had then realized I didn’t bring any clean clothes or pajamas with me. Great. Just what I needed was to walk out of the bathroom in a towel in front of Griffin. I sighed and opened up the door and there sat Griffin on the bed, reading, with lighted incense on the nightstand. Um. Okay.
“Akira?” Griffin called and I just smiled a little.
“I just um... forgot my clothes, that’s all,” I chuckled nervously while pointing to my bag. He just nodded and put his book down. I walked over to my suitcase and got out a pair of pajamas but when I stood up, there was Griffin, looming over me, with his hair down.
“What?” I asked but before he even decided to give an answer, he kissed me.
Griffin continued to kiss me softly as I stood there and kissed him back. My clothes dropped out of my hands as he wrapped his arms around me and cupped his hand on my cheek. My hands rested on his chest as we both got a little more intense and he started to kiss my neck. I pushed him onto the bed and we both continued kissing each other as things got more and more intense and it wasn’t a struggle to get his shirt off him, along with his pants. It was no problem getting off my towel, obviously.
We both really didn’t realize what we had just done, what we just did, until hours later after it happened. Wow.
