Kaki Quinn: What I want
I was at Charlie’s house with the rest of the group. The silence was awkward and I mean really awkward. Finally somebody walked in. It was Charlie I think but I didn’t know for certain. Then I heard it.
“You’re not mythical creatures, you are all human weapons.”
I gulped. I blinked. My heart was beating. Desire was taking over. I so badly wanted to crush his pathetic throat in between my hands and wrench out his heart. But then, he would be right. I would be a weapon. Everyone was surprised. Some people were angry, some sad and distraught but no one was as violent as I was in this current moment.
Minutes passed and I got passed a file by a blonde fellow. Wait. Pictures flashed in front of my eyes. Sam. He was Sam. It was Sam.
It would be so easy to just knock him over and crack his head ope-
I had to stop thinking about these things otherwise I would kill many people. I don’t want to be a killer. All that was left was to find out what really happened. The file lay on my lap, beckoning me to open it. So I took out the papers and began to read.
13th August 2007:
Subject has been taken to the labs. Killed parents and brother because they had no use. They claim to be able to see the devil inside their daughter. Girl is paired with our finest doctor Akuma, Ex Serial Killer. He recognises her.
14th August 2007:
Started the subject on a diet of pigs blood. She complained and became violent. Thrashed the bars and strangled a member of the team. We shut her off from the outside. Room pitch black, no food just blood. Screams sometimes and sings to herself.
15th August 2008:
It’s been a year since subject came in. Her eyes have become grey but we notice red pigments when she gets angry. Has become very violent which is an improvement. We believe the subject is currently 12. Says her name is Kaki. Next major update will be the tracking chip placement. Akuma seems to be interested in observing her more than the other subjects.
21st September 2008:
Subject enjoying blood, we started her on hearts and she has no problem swallowing. The chip was successful and is working properly. Wiped her memories so she thinks this is home. Has no complaints. Noticed Unusual Twitching and fully red eyes. Is she a monster already?
30th October 2008:
Came into labs to find subject stabbed witch a carving knife. Akuma explains his idea to reinforce her skin with titanium and update her healing properties. Large Loss of blood but isn’t faced. Started her on a iron supplement after the major surgery we did on her skin.
27th December 2008:
Today Subject broke into high sweats along with a fever. She claimed that she felt like she was on fire. No signs of burning except slight singe marks on her fingertips and toes. Akuma says she is possessed but wants to keep whatever is in her in her. Decided to send her to train with an exorcist next year.
3rd August 2009:
Received a letter from the exorcist. Things are going well. She was let lose and destroyed a large amount of people. Was taught the full works of the divine comedy along with all she needed to know about many fighting styles. Also taught how to cut of circulation in battle. Doing well and is almost in her final stages.
24th January 2010:
She returned stronger than we could have imagined. Akuma was pleased. We started her on the spider dna and progress is quick. Able to decapitate bodies easily.
30th February 2010:
As nimble as a spider but as strong as a wolf. Slightly insane but that’s what we want. Can scale walls and glass. Was put into battle and killed all our finest soldiers. Relentless, Inhuman, Quiet, Nimble, Strong, Insane and human. Our perfect killing machine!
12th May 2010:
We gave her intensive training. Living off human meat. Cannibalistic. She has no fear. Watched horror films for the rest of the time. Seems to like them.
1st January 2011:
Replaced her memories of here with something that could be her history. Packed a bag with stuff she would like and sent her off into the world. Akuma seems to be sad about her leaving. Should I be worried?
I was revolted. My entire life was a lie. Everything I thought I knew was all fake. I was set up. Even though I was annoyed I knew that I would have my revenge. And I would kill every last bit of those XL Scum. They deserved it. It was the least I could do to show them that their “ ultimate weapon” could be of use.
I can’t wait.
