This is a World for The/My Otaku Writers.
It all started back in 2005. When a friend and I were talking about something to do in MyO. I had seen many people in MyO that loved to write stories and Fan Fics, and I myself Love to write.
Therefore, we came up with an idea to collaborate a few writers (around 10 to 12) get them together once a year, and write a Story/Fan Fic.
We all had a great time doing this. We all loved to see the story come together. It was like working on a puzzle where the image was not visible, and you only had a few pieces to place then had to hand it on to the next person to do their part. Never knowing what the puzzle would look like, but knowing that in the end all would be perfect because you knew you were working with talented artist.
How the Group got its name or when; I do not know. I just remember one day of reading a comment in MyO site, and seeing that it was what someone called it. I cannot even tell you who it was that called it that, but from that day it has been called TheO Story.
My old writers from the last six years told me that they would be back to write in the next coming year, and they always have. I have even had writers that left MyO, and when I emailed them telling them TheO Story was starting. They came back to their MyO Site so they could be part of the Story once again. I have also added new writers with the New Years, and they too have brought some awesome talent to the table for the story.
It use to be the TheO Story only ran from the first Sunday of May to the last Sunday of August of the year. We could only have 12 writers with 3 backup writers, and it was a first come first serve to adding a writer to the story.
It was sad though, because sometimes the backup writers did not get to write, and I am sure they had some awesome writing talent to add to the story.
Nowadays, things have changed for TheO Story, and with that change a bigger group. Better commutation, and the best thing of all… TheO Story finally has a home of its own.
