Wrestlemania 26

Hello everyone,

It has been a while since ive posted here, so i thought id update some stuff real quick for you guys :)

I bought Wrestlemania 26 Monday night, and so far the best match (in my opinion) was the Bret Hart vs. Vince Mcmahon match. i enjoyed the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels match as well, both matches were pretty long lol.

I bought the 3 disc Collector's Edition for the Hall of fame extras, which include matches of each Hall of Fame Inductee - including Antonio Inoki, which is the main reason i bought it lol.

All in all, Wrestlemania 26 was ok, and my only gripe is that i hated the match commentary and i could barely stand to listen to it (Matt Striker and Todd Grisham should be banned from wrestling alltogether) because they just sound so ridiculous. They shouldve let The King and Micheal Cole call the whole show. Im also not much of a fan of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, John Cena,Batista,Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre or Rey Mysterio. I use to be a big fan of Rey Mysterio, but i believe he is just highly overrated now. I think he bulked up too much and that is what has caused him to get injured so much lately and his skills have suffered from it. If you watch a match from 1996-2000, you wouldnt even notice its the same guy, which is sad because he use to be pretty cool.

Now that i remember it, I'm Glad Chris Jericho beat Edge too. Chris Jericho has started to become one of my favorite wrestlers now because he can wrestle anyone - a luchador, a big man, a techical wrestler, anything - and he never misses a step. He never gets injured either lol.

Other than the bad commentating from Matt Striker and Todd Grisham, and a few simple matches, Wrestlemania 26 was pretty decent. What made it worth the 26$ i paid for the dvd was seeing all the weapon shots Bret Hart did to Vince Mcmahon lol.

Shawn Michaels: The Last Hurrah

I did'nt get to watch Wrestlemania this past weekend, but i was able to look up the results late sunday night when i woke up and it was pretty sad to see that Shawn Michaels had lost - even though i knew he would.

In the Wrestling business it's a rare thing to go out on your own terms and when you are still physically able to perform at a high level. He honestly didnt have anything left to prove and even if he hadnt came back in 2002, I would still consider him one of the best ever, just like i do today.

I'll always have my dvds with his matches, and the memories of all the groundbreaking stuff he was a part of in the Wrestling world.

Now that he is retired, i'll have one less wrestler to root for, but i beleive his retirement has come at the right time. Im sure we'll see him in the Hall of Fame pretty soon lol.

I'll be posting up pics/videos of my favorite Shawn Michaels matches once i go through all my wrestling dvds and pick some out, so be sure to check back :)

Thanks for the memories.....

"Hardcore City"

Hello everyone,

I just woke up and i felt like posting about some of my favorite "Hardcore" Wrestling matches that i have on vhs or dvd. so here we go :) - hope you enjoy :)

WCW Uncensored 1999
Bam Bam Bigelow VS. Sandman VS. Raven

This match took place around the time when the original ECW was going under and some of the bigger names in the company were signing with WCW, and along with them they brough the extreme match styles lol. I got WCW Uncensored 1999 PPV on vhs a few years ago really cheap at Blockbuster Video, and it is actually one of my favorite wretling videos lol. This match was really hardcore, and there were weapons everywhere. I was rooting for Bam Bam Bigelow the entire time. My favorite parts are when Sandman gets powerbombed on a table and it still doesnt break lol, and when Bam Bam does the "Greetings From Asbury Park" (his finisher -the Fire Thunder Driver) to Raven. It's a classic and you have to watch it to beleive it lol

Nasty Boys VS. Public Enemy
WCW Superbrawl VI

This match recently became one of my favorites lol. I got this match on dvd when i bought the Allied Powers: World's Greatest Tag Teams dvd last year and this match was presented on there. Ive always liked The Nasty boys, and Public Enemy was pretty cool as well, and both teams took it to the extreme in this match. there were Tables, Chairs, trash cans, drinks, everything was involved. i have never seen as many shots to the head from weapons than i have in this match, and both teams lived up to their reputation lol. You HAVE to watch this match lol.

Well its pretty late, so i guess ill stop there for today, I hope you all enjoy :)

stay strong,

Yamcha
