i survived it...

i survived last night. closing was a breeze. it was really creepy when i had to go to the second floor and turn off the lights though. i never realized how creepy a library can get in the dark. after i left my ocd took over to check the switches the whole atmosphere felt heavy (esp. behind my back)...i freaked out and ran back down :O
oh, i also did the pa, kinda weird cuz there's no one but i still had to do it (so i and the librarian just listened to myself) :P
anyway i believe that was my first and last time closing the library cuz next semester i work in the mornings, which mean i am opening the library...

im done with my finals and i'm on my winter break at the moment. this is really ridiculous because my last final is today and today is 3 days away from christmas. i really want to know who's responsible for this. but the good thing about today was that my teacher bought everyone coffee and biscotti :) too bad that we had to show up to class at 7 am!
well,right now as i'm typing telling you all about what im doing, i am totally freaking out in the inside.
why?
well i work at my school's library on thursday nights and today is special...because i have to close the library...for the first time! this is really bad because i'm already ocd enough at home when i lock up before bed, now i have to do it for the library!(really nervous because when i closed it, we wont open again for 2 or 3 weeks, what if i forgot to turn off the copier? then it would be on the whole time and waste energy? hope not)i'm not sure how i'll make it through...(curse myself for worrying too much!)
luckily...
there is a librarian to help me out. i asked her about closing and she said that she has done it before so she'll help me( my supervisors, showed me before, but i have never really had to do it...until now). i have to close really quick because she's going to leave early tonight and if she leaves before i closed, im alone!( i can closed a bit early because there is really no one here, so quiet the silience is deafening my ears.)
not only am i worry that i'm going to do everything wrong, or forget one important thing, but i have to do the pa system. kinda nervous because i don't like talking over the phone and i think my voice sounds weird.
sigh
speaking of the pa, i have to do it in 20 mins!
well if you are able to read my next post that means i have survive my nervousness and ocd breakdown.

Gingerbread house!

hi to all again,

been a long time, huh? anyway i recently made a gingerbread house. not from a kit but homemade! i went to a friend's house and we made homemade gingerbread and decorated the house with candies. got a little sugar high that day, many of the candies went in my tummy not the house itself :)
now the house itself is a ruin. the roof is gone and all the candies were strip away :( it taste so good though!!!!!!!

what you find cleaning a salon

hi everyone, it's been a while.
yesterday my siblings and i went to our mom's salon to clean. my mom would have come but she bailed out on us and said she was too tired(ahem...lazy). anyway we rented a carpet cleaner for the rugs(i really should try and ask her to get rid of the carpets and get hardwood floors so it'd be easier to clean, that's reasonable right?) well we did three rounds with the carpet cleaner. as i was pushing it back and forth the machine itself at times would spit out a clump of unidentified content. from afar the stuff itself looks like a dead wet rat's body decomposing, ewwwww!!!(it's the hair and nails and dirt clumped together) i couldn't take any photos cuz my mom didn't allow me to. (also the nasty content itself would be too vile to view and would have to be blur to viewers like you all).if that is not nasty enough i helped with dumping the dirty water into the toilet. it was dark black(i mean really black!)and murky. you can see hairs and dirt swimming around. it was funny because as i was pouring the dirty water i thought of a scene in this Cantonese series i've seen called "pearl princess" or something similar to that. anyway there was a scene where the main character ran away from her family and then went to work at a place where you can play the game call go(that board with black and white pebbles) . the two owners abused her and stuff. one time she dropped her only food into the dirty bucket of water from mopping and the lady owner made her eat.(this was a comedy series so this part was pretty comedic. oh, later on her friends came and rescued her. before she left she poured all of the black and white pebble things into a dirty bucket of water and then she made the two owners eat/drink it :) )when i thought of this my mind came up with a scenario if i were to drop my only meal in that dirty water, what i would do....back to the story.....
after we were done the whole shop smelled nice from the solution we used to clean the carpet with. i would have to compare the smell to some type of tropical fruit juice smell. of course the carpets are clean too! thank goodness it was not white!! well beside cleaning the carpet we also cleaned the mirrors, chairs, table and walls(yes, because there were weird stains on them :/) today our mom is going to her shop, hopefully she likes what we did.
