(inhuman screaming)

I WAS OFFERED A JOB.

I. WAS. OFFERED. A. JOB.

But not just any job, mind you.

THE ONE I'VE WANTED SINCE I FIRST CAME TO COLLEGE. THAT JOB.

Oh my god I am SO HAPPY. SO FRICKIN HAPPY. Granted, I don't have the job until the end of January when I get back to school from break, but I WILL HAVE IT. As long as I pass my driver's test over break, which I am totally determined to do now.

So let me tell y'all the story.

There's this little video game store in the town down the hill from my college, and I've been going there basically every Friday and dumping my money into there all the time. It's really hard not to, mind you. But yeah, from the moment I went in there, I've wanted to work there. The people are super nice, the games they have are AWESOME (seriously, they get hacked games and imported games and every kind of game imaginable), and it's just a really cool place. So I've wanted a job there for a while, but I don't have a driver's license and ergo don't have a car. And my mom is concerned about me working at nighttime and therefore wants me to get a car before I get a job. So I was going to work my butt off over the Christmas break to get my license, because my mom promised me that if I got my license she would get me a car. And once I got my car, I was going to go and ask if they needed help. A daunting task due to my social anxiety, mind you, but I was prepared to do it.

Then today I went down to do the last of my Christmas shopping for my brother. I had picked up two Gamecube games and was looking at pins when one of the guys who works there came up to me and said, "Not to be creepy or anything, but do you have a job?"

OMG INTERNAL EXPLOSION WITH FIREWORKS AND LIGHTS AND SPARKLERS.

So when I told him no, not until I have that car, he was like, "Well, we're gonna be under new management starting next year, and we're gonna be short some people, but as soon as you get that car, would you like to work here?" And of course, I was like YES YES YES YES YES. And I got out of there and immediately called my mom and almost started screaming over the phone and I'm waiting for my dad to call me so I can scream to him too and I'm SO FRICKIN EXCITED GUYS LIKE REALLY MY EXCITEMENT IS UNENDING.

It's really hard not to scream at the top of my lungs, but my roommate's in the room right now so I have to contain myself.

BUT YEAH SO MUCH EXCITEMENT.

Tata~!
