Ah! Those people could wait a little longer. So that Mr.Time, is NOT a good excuse.
Pick up a different t-shirt, think of an excuse and go back there and get her number. Easy
Well there were people behind me in line who wanted to buy their books, and she had to take care of them so there wasn't any time for chit chat, and... *points* LOOK OVER THERE!
It's great that anime/manga fans manage to get jobs in places dealing with their interests. I've run into so many such fans working at Border's and the like. Though, they typically just remark on my manga rather than my t-shirts (has Trigun already finished its run? mention my baby Vash sometime people). ^^

Aw *reminiscences* I too have had those moments where I’ll be an anime T-shirt and people recognize it and a delightful conversation emerges. Ironically enough, it happens more often, when I wear my FLCL t-shirt too (It has a picture of Haruko eating ramen). I’ve met many friends this way. For some reason there is something about fooly cooly that makes people say “hey :D!”.
Once me and my friends were visiting a friend at UCIrvine , when we were paying for parking, the parking attendant saw that I was wearing my FLCL shirt and h”Hey we are wearing the same shirt!” and beneath his uniform was the shirt. We all started to crack up and gave each other the look of “you’re ok!”. Sadly as much as we were wishing, he still made us pay for parking though XD.
Yes, the recognition from a fellow fan does feel good ^^!
Wow. That reminds me of when one of my old friends snuck me onto the community college campus (I was still in high school at the time) and some guy pointed at me and said "Awesome bag, where'd you get it?" It was my beloved Fullmetal Alchemist bag that I had bought at a store that went out of business the month before. Good times.
Reminds me of one time at a past AWA when a girl hugged me because I was bashing Gundam SEED and favoring UC Gundam. Always nice to be favorably recognized for your interests.
I have little faith in my "local" stores that way, the people don't exactly like to go out of their way to help. That's mostly why I have to get the gift cards (those are like everywhere now), and do my shopping online. I can't even "Site to Store" anything cause the two nearest stores to me are like 1-2 hour drives away, but that could be an option too, if the gift cards are structured similarly where you are, you should be able to use them online. At any rate, it can't hurt to ask.
Yeah, although I've learned their site isn't always accurate, because I've seen things showing up as in stock and they aren't on shelf, or things showing up as not in stock and they are on shelf.
What I'll do is while I'm there, get them to look in their backroom or check their records to see when they'll order more.
Everything is screwed up because of ADV putting a bunch of titles on haitus and then rescheduling their releases.
Every casual anime fan I run into is surprised to learn that FLCL only has the six episodes. My sister was watching it a while back when she worked nights and it was on, and she said it felt like it ran longer. All I could do was tell her that show takes a lot to figure out and unfortunately, I never kept the notes that were posted by the one Mod on the Tech TV forums where he did a really in-depth look at the messages in that show. I've seen it many times, and I still can't figure it all out. It's nice to see it get some recognition.
Something I learned about Best Buy, get on their website, do a search for the items you're looking for, and see if it has an "in store availability" Some items aren't available in every Best Buy store, and some items aren't in stores at all.
Oh damn, I totally missed weighing in on Canadian Space Robots!
It's just another robotic arm, dude. Granted, this one actually has TWO arms and is named "Dextre" as opposed to the original one-armed robotic space arm shamelessly named the "Canadarm".
This new one sounds fancier and has a less self-promoting name.

No one ever comments on my Bleach or Naruto shirts. -_-
My mom picked up Tin Man of her own accord today. Let me know how the special features are, so I know which ones to watch.
Lol, "Canadarm"...
