Background: warning: long background is long!

Tyr was born in a powerful kingdom lead by gijinkas, near the actual city of Geosenge in Kalos. Back at the time, around that place were only mountains, sea and vast forests, in which other pokemon lived. At the court were presents most of the pokemon that are now called “fossils” , and they all lived in peace under the command of Temperance and Traugott Pendragon, Tyr’s parents.

As he grew up, being treated like a prince, he saw many wars and battles menacing the kingdom, some brought even by the new species that started to grow on the land. As soon as he reached the age, he entered the army and started protecting viciously his loved ones, fighting with the strength of hundreds.

After a long battle, in which the castle had been isolated from the rest of the cities, Tyr’s father fell ill and later died due to the malnutrition and lack of cure. As the kingdom was in the hands of the mother, who was less gentle than her husband, the war was won, and a year of peace raised the kingdom to its most powerful moment.

Later on, even with the lack of battles and competitions, every person in the kingdom started to feel the urge to leave. Black clouds and cold wind were approaching the land, and during a powerful storm a thunder lit the highest tower, that started to burn, taking almost all the castle with it. After that time, Tyr and his mother had to leave the kingdom to start over with the survivors, but during their travel to find a new land, they had to deal with Winter, who was coming fast and unstoppable.

Long days and night in the cold and dark, and even when Tyr and his army went away to hunt, they never came back with enough preys to feed everyone. People started to die, as the winter appeared to be longer than usual. The few survivors kept walking, until they reached the land of the Aurorus, colder but full of food, or so they hoped.
As they walked in, no one to send them away, no one to run away. The place was empty, but at least they had a place to call home, as they all started to live in the Aurorus’ empty castle.
Every day got darker and colder, and winter never ended. During his exploration of the castle, Tyr found the diaries of the Aurorus’ counselor.

Date: 20th day of StarkEis.
The mage says we won’t survive the winter if we don’t run away. The king doesn’t believe him, and we keep living here, despite the black clouds on the horizon telling us to leave.

Date: 23rd day of StarkEis.
Today we’ve heard that the tyrant’s kingdom has burnt down. The king cheered, but what worries me is the prophecy engraved in the temple:
“the sun will become an eternal night, and when the tyrants will burn, everything will freeze for million years.”
I’ll talk to the king later about this.

Date: 30th day of StarkEis.
We’re leaving! I’m so glad the king listened to me. We also know that the tyrants are approaching our land. I feel sorry for them.. even if they get here, they won’t survive the eternal winter. I pray for Arceus to help them as he sees fit

Tyr closed the ice blue book fast, cracking his freezing hands before running back to her mother, only to find her asleep in a room. Her skin was completely light blue and her lips were purple.

With a roar of sadness and anger, Tyr destroyed half the room, until his faithful friend and captain of the army arrived and helped him calm down. After burying her, they tried to leave the land, but if the castle they were freezing, outside it was certain death. One after all, Tyr’s companions and friends died due to the ice, and when he buried the captain, he realized he was alone. Alone in the world.
He opened the window of the castle and his breath froze, feeling the cold air. He walked out, roaming the freezing land, without caring about what was going to happen to him. after a few days of surviving the cold, he arrived to a lake and fell, tired, while trying to walk over it. The ice broke under his weight, and he started to feel water enter his clothes, then fell asleep.

-millions of years later-

After the ice killed almost everything on earth, nature started its course again, and new forms of life started to populate the planet. Where once was the lake, now was only a large land full of ice, but nothing could stop the humans, a specie that started to live alongside pokemons.

During many years of research, they managed to break the ice and find lots of remains from the ancient eras, including the full-frozen Tyr.
As they brought him in their laboratories, and left him under a bright, warm light, the ice began to melt slowly, and Tyr awoke. He opened his eyes, and all he could see was the white of the light. He tried to move, but couldn’t. as he panicked, he used his strength to break part of the ice around him, letting him breath. As the scientist run to him to study what was happening, he took the rest of the ice away and broke an exit in the wall, to run away.
As he run out, he thought that maybe, if he was alive, his friends could be too! As he slowly regained power over his tired and frozen limbs, he walked to the place he thought his friends were buried, only to find a whole city built over it, and pieces of their armors in so called “museums”.
Filled with sadness, he retired in the Glitter Cave, hoping to build his kingdom again.

After failing in the task due to few gijinkas and many humans, he started visiting the other towns and regions, hoping to find someone to live with.
