HEY I'm making a new character for the first time in forever! Well, if you don't include the 1920s AU stuff (which I don't bc that's just Laf and Dmitri). I have a friend who wants to role play with me w/ college-age Lafayette and Dmitri, but due to the potential plot I need to make some new characters to go with them. I'm starting to get a design down... here's what I've got so far.
She doesn't have a name yet... if anyone has any name ideas, let me know. ;o;/ But yeah, my friend gave me the suggestion of making a beefy girl character since I don't really have any muscular girl characters. I've got Jessica, who's got some degree of muscle... but she's not like RIPPED or anything. Overall I like the direction I'm going in for her design, but my only issue is she basically looks like Wybert;;;;; And personality-wise she's kinda similar too WHOOPS. Idk I'm thinking of changing her haircolor to light blue or something so it's basically the same, but.... still somehow different.............. B);;
Anyway, her role in relation to Lafayette is that she's the drummer for the band that Lafayette sometimes plays in. I mentioned here that Lafayette joins a band in college as their lead singer, but due to his controlling nature the relationship between Lafayette and the band is always tense. Of all the band members (NONE OF WHOM I'VE CREATED EXCEPT THIS LADY), this person's the one who gets the most irritated with Lafayette's antics and irresponsibility. She and Lafayette constantly bicker, and she's usually the reason for kicking Lafayette out of the band every now and again. Even though she genuinely doesn't like Lafayette, Lafayette doesn't actually have anything against her.
Here's some quick notes on her personality that I'm kinda coming up with on the fly:
- Angry 90% of the time, will fight anyone (??? idk)
- Loud
- Frequently relies on her intuition/first impressions when sizing up other people's personalities.
- Outspoken, not afraid to let someone know straight up if she doesn't like them or trust them
- Likewise, she's not afraid to let someone know how much she cares about them and is often very forward about her emotions
- Believes in a balance of power in a group (?)
- Strong sense of justice, but as a result often overlooks the nuances in a situation (sees the world in terms of the weak vs. the powerful)
- Extremely supportive of the people she trusts, but if you break her trust she will not be willing to let you redeem yourself
- A little shallow and not the most original (in terms of song lyrics and stuff I guess?) but extremely earnest in her interests
- While both she and Lafayette are kind of brash and rude people, she's a lot more self-aware than Lafayette and acts up with a particular purpose in mind. (On the other hand, Lafayette's just kinda become numb to the fact that he's rude and doesn't even think about his actions anymore.) (???? idk if this even makes sense)
In retrospect... I feel like she's how Dmitri was supposed to be before he turned into a Sweet (but grumpy-faced) Soul.
Aside from using her in this random College Laf and Dmitri role play, I'm think of also using her for a The World Ends With You role play that Keyblademewkasa has been trying to get me to join since forever. -o-/ I don't know what her TWEWY backstory will be yet.... still need to think on it. ;o;/ I also want to make her aesthetic more interesting, so I guess I'll be researching clothes and stuff at some point. -u-7
