I am Kitabug69 and I have created a World for The/My Otaku Writers.
It all started back in 2005. When a friend and I were talking about something to do in MyO. I had seen many people in MyO that loved to write stories and Fan Fics and I myself Love to write.
Therefore, we came up with an idea to collaborate a few writers (around 10 to 12) and get them together once a year and write a Story/Fan Fic.
We all had a great time doing this. We all loved to see the story come together. It was like working on a puzzle where the image was not visible and you only had a few pieces to place and then had to hand it on to the next person to do their part. Never knowing what the puzzle would look, but knowing that in the end all would be perfect, because you knew you were working with talented artist.
How the Group got its name or when, I do not know. I just remember one day of reading a comment in MyO site and seeing that was what someone called it, I cannot even tell you who it was that called it that, but from that day its has been called TheO Story.
My old writers from the last two years told me that they would be back to write in the next coming year and they have. I have even had writers that left MyO come back when I emailed them telling them TheO Story was starting. They came back to their MyO Site so they could be part of the Story once again. I have also added new writers with the New Year and they too have brought some awesome talent and ideas to the table for the story.
I guess what I am telling you here is everyone that was involved in TheO Story had a very good time working on it. Not only is it a way to give yourself a challenge in your writing, but a way to get to know other The/MyO Members.
Well with that said, I think I covered the history about TheO Story.
If you go to TheO Story World, you can find what I called ‘The Run Down of TheO Story Rules and What You Need to Know’. There it will bring more things to light for the ones of you that might be interested in this.
If you find that this maybe something, you would like to get involved in (and have a great time doing so) keep your eyes open for the starting date of adding the writers to the list. I will be posting it in TheO Story World and in MyO Site when that time comes to do so. It is usually around the first or second week of May I start looking for writers.
All the stories TheO Story Group writes is subject to submission in Fan Words. So your work will be posted in Fan Words if the Mods see fit for it to be posted in there. If they do not it will still be posted in TheO Story World and in Kitabug69’s Fan Fic World. As for giving credit where credit is do, YOU BEAT all writers if they so choose to be known will be noted as a writer that helped in writing the story.
My Main Goal in this is to get the World going to the point that The Otaku will let us submit the World to the General population. So not only my subscribers will see it, but everyone will be able to enjoy the World… and I can and will add Guest Posters to the World. I am sure that would be a great way to stay in touch threw the year for ideas and what not for the up coming year’s new Stories.
If you would like to see the last two years written of TheO Story 2006 and 2007. They are both posted in TheO Story World.
Well with that said, I hope to see new writers come join the fun.
I do have to let you know I will be gone from The/MyO for the next two weeks (Starting 04/08/08. I hope not longer) because of Home repairs. If you PM me or comment and I have not gotten back with you. Please be patient. I will get back to you as soon as I can when I return.
