BBC Season 6 Part 2 Trailer

The BBC has released their own trailer for the second half of the current season, returning at the end of this month. Some footage is the same as the Comic-Con trailer, but this one also gives us a glimpse at pterodactyls, a pyramid with an American flag and "Area 52" on it, plus the Doctor once again donning his Stetson.

Red, White & Who - New Book in 2012

A new book has been announced for 2012: "Red, White & Who - The Story of Doctor Who in America". The book will be a definitive exploration of Doctor Who fandom in America, from it's beginnings to the present day.

The editors of the book are calling out for American Who fans to participate in its creation. Follow THIS LINK for more information.

Having grown up on classic Doctor Who since the '80s, I'm thinking of making contact. No guarantee my contributions will be used, but I'd still like my voice to be heard by my fellow Whovians. :)

Season 6 Resumes in August / Karen Gillan to Stay with the Show / New Trailers

BBC America has confirmed Season Six will resume Saturday, August 27th at 9 PM Eastern time (8 Central). The show returns with the episode "Let's Kill Hitler" written by Steven Moffat. The BBC have yet to confirm a return date for the UK, but it seems likely to be on the same date.

Additionally, Karen Gillan ended speculation by confirming she will remain with the show for the foreseeable future, returning again to play Amy Pond in the next season alongside Matt Smith as the Doctor.

The trailer for the second half of the current season premiered at Comic-Con. You can watch it HERE, along with an extended trailer for Episode 11, "The God Complex".

The Adventures of the VIctorian Silurian Investigator and her Lesbian Maid?

Exec. Producer and Head Writer Steven Moffat recently revealed to SFX Magazine that he did indeed consider the idea of a spin-off series starring Madam Vastra and Jenny, the wildly popular guest characters from the Doctor Who mid-season finale "A Good Man Goes to War". He even pitched the idea to BBC Controller of Drama Commissioning Ben Stephenson, who said "Yes!"

Unfortunately, since Moffat is a very busy man, running both Doctor Who and Sherlock, we probably won't be seeing an actual Vastra/Jenny TV series. But the Moff is pleased with reaction fans had to the characters, so he says he'd certainly like to revisit them in the future. "I love that Victorian setting, and having kicked it out of Sherlock Holmes I can always kick it in somewhere else!"
