This is my entry for 'how it all started' contest.
It all started with Inuyasha. Ah, Inuyasha. Holds dear memories for me. Before I watched Inuyasha and started getting into anime I had watched anime before that but never really thought anything about it. I would watch Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Rave Master and other anime but my thoughts were just "It's just a cartoon" Then one night, on a school night to be exact, I had stayed up late, against my parents wishes. It was late and I was sitting on the floor in front of the tv when Inuyasha came on, on Adult Swim. I remember the episode it was too....the episode where they met Miroku. I watched it, and I was hooked.
For awhile the only anime I was addicted to was Inuyasha. I would doodle characters from the show and look at Inuyasha pictures on Google images. Then after awhile I was curious to see if they're were other animes that I would like and found many, many more that I fell in love with.
If I hadn't of stayed up late that night, I might've never gotten into anime. Inuyasha was the anime that started it all for me, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
