My first entry to the Sporting' it Challenge
I chose Ashita No Joe (Tomorrow's Joe) cos it has a great back story and it's a classic anime... some say it's iconic!
this is the last scene in the manga and anime... after the final match we see Joe sit on his chair, hear the result (he lost T_T), smile then die peacefully... the match had lots of symbolism
I got the scene from the manga, colored it, added some filters then added the quote! the quote represents Joe's state in this final match, he wasn't just boxing to win, he was boxing to achieve his dreams and goals which he did that's why we see him smiling as he passes away...
I was torn between this and another quote by Mohammad Ali; Ali's quote says:
Champions aren't made in gyms.
Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision.
They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster,
they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.
I was only going to use the 1st 2 sentences but I couldn't find the pic I wanted for it so I ended up using the one in the card with a better fitting quote ^^

Steps of Creating this:
this is my 1st time coloring a manga scan so cut me some slack ^^;
manga scan > colored scan > added filters > card with quote

P.S: Joe's body and face are bruised and bloodied but I didn't color in those details cos I like to remember him smiling and healthy
