First off, don't worry! Just because this is a "dark" themed card, it doesn't mean that I'm depressed or anything. XD And yes, this is for the colorful challenge...it isn't exactly the typical definition of "colorful", like super bright, but it indeed has many colors. Especially compared to the original scan!! Very unsaturated, dark...and yet light at the same time. But barely any color! So I took this challenge and kinda...made an uncolorful image more full of color, even if it's DARK. ^^; So maybe not the right definition of your challenge; sorry! If this doesn't count, that's fine too lol.

The quote is lyrics from Missy Higgin's Sound of White. <--the lyrics. Obviously I was listening to it when I was making this card. XD So anyhoo, I found the scan at aethereality.net. I saw on their random additions a scan from Victoria Frances's collection...or books...Favole. I'm not familiar with them at all, but I like her art. ^^; Dark but realistic...yet romantic as well. Vampires and things lol. It took me a while to decide which scan I was going to use because some of the other ones were ehhh...TOO dark.

So I obviously did a lot. ^^; Hue/saturation, duplicating the layer, sharpened, more colors, some texture...random black bar at the side and then the text. XD Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking; it took a long time, and at first I didn't think I'd like it, but now I really do. <33333 Dedicated to Raisha because she's an awesome friend, deserves something, and the lady's outfit in the scan reminds me of some things she wears and makes!
