Noizi Ito, the artist best known for the Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan no Shana light novel illustrations, posted the above picture of the character Haruhi on Sunday, two days after the March 11 earthquake (Tōhoku Chihō Taiheiyō-oki Jishin) and tsunami. As Ito noted on her Twitter account, even the "Brigade Leader" is offering her prayers.
Ito is part of a larger #draw_for_japan movement in which artists offer their support for the victims of the recent disaster. Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk, Vagabond) also drew art as a way of offering his prayers for Japan.

Thought it was important to show the people's support so I left the name and date on the pic. I think it's great there's a movement as a way of offering prayers for Japan. I love Japan because of anime, games, and manga. x3 My 'future boss' was also in Tokyo for business during that earthquake and tsunami, so hopefully he's somewhere safe. Not only him, but my wishes are for everyone.
