Okay, so, forgive me, I've never made an e-card before >.< but when this contest showed up, and I read the reasoning behind it, I wanted to put my one cent in! I hope it looks okay!

There is a long, long descrpition as to why I chose everything on this card.
First off, the saying. I smile, as cliche as it is, because I am alive. See, when I was eleven, I was diognosed with chronic depression. The doctors believed I'd been suffering since the age of four. I've been on meds since and handle the illness easily, but when I was twelve, four years ago now, my good friend was also diognosed, and a couple monthes later, she attempted suicide. This made me realize how lucky I was to live with depression for so long and not hit that low. Because of these experiences, I've come to treasure every little thing, and be thankful just because I am alive, and I can feel honestly happy again. So I smile
