For those who have not seen Major, the series puts a significant amount of emphasis on the father-son relationship between Shigeharu Honda and the young Goro Honda. They enjoy each other's company, especially when it comes to playing baseball. Goro idolized his father, who was a professional baseball player, and Shigeharu wanted to keep Goro happy and avoid any event that would make him feel depressed.

As the series goes on, one will see why these moments between father and son are worth treasuring while time permits them to savor the moments as it happens.
