Yes, I indeed feel lonely.

The month of August has been extremely rough for me, rounding out of a nice depression spell yesterday. Even though I feel miles better then I did 24 hours ago, I'm still going through some tough emotions about myself. So to express those feelings I made this card, and unsurprisingly it's my favorite yet. Strong emotions (especially sad ones) are an artists best friend and I've always been more inspired when I create when I'm sad.

It took me a while to find a suitable picture too, I wanted an angel picture but I couldn't find any good ones that were sad. But when I found this picture, it fit what I wanted to capture.

In photoshop I copied the picture, desaturated the copy, then erased the butterflies of the desaturated copy to give it those pops of color. Then I slapped some gradients and played with the blending modes. And of course ended with some nice sparkles for good measure!
