I'm going to be honest with you guys right now I haven't seen the Gurren Laggann anime. But it does look interesting and I may watch it sometime. That being said I shall talk about the card.
The card features Yoko and Simon as young children with whom I assume is Simon's father. I could be wrong so if somebody knows please correct me. That being said I thought I would go with a childhood theme and make it kind of like those childhood montage things you see floating around the internet. The quote is from Winnie The Pooh. Just one texture was used along with the main image blurred in the background for that nostalgia effect.
I hope everybody enjoys the card. I had fun making it. Dedicated to KyraChan as part of her prize for winning my recent wallpaper challenge. I hope you like it my friend.
