I've finally decided on a challenge to do! ^ ^ This one might be challenging, though, OH NUUH!! TT^TT
WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO
Draw somebody (yourself, and OC, any character anybody, it doesn't matter) in a really interesting pose. Not something weird, but something that can give you great emotions or is hard to draw. Like somebody jumping in happiness or crouched up in a corner out of sadness.
RULES
- You need to make it possible for a human being to be in that pose
- Can be done traditionally or digitally
- You don't need a background (if you do put a background it won't give you any extra points, but it won't take away any points)
- Don't do any suggestive poses (and you know what I'm talking about. I don't want to have the focus of the picture to be a girl's underwear....>.>)
- Colouring will get you extra points, but you don't have to colour it
- Abide by normal theO rules (like always)
- You can draw more than one character in the picture (I'm focusing on the poses you come up with, so if it takes another person to be in the picture, then that's okay)
- It can be a dancing pose, a fighting pose, a jumping pose, any kind of pose (except plain standing with a peace sign or something)!
EXAMPLES
I'll give you a lot of examples here! >:D
Air Gear has many good examples in it for good poses (in the manga, in wallpapers, in the anime, it has very good examples).
1 (Sorry for the bad quality!)
2
3
4 (The angle and the pose looks really good on both characters)
5 (Sorry for the bad quality!)
6
7 (These kinds of poses are pretty good)
8
9
10
11
12
13 (More bad quality, sorry! TT^TT)

King of Fighters has MANY good examples:
My Examples:
1
2
3
4
5 (Didn't feel like actually giving you all of these poses so I'll just use the drawings I did of them. From real life)
6 (Some more real life pictures that I didn't feel like posting the real pictures of. To save some more space)
(Sorry, I got carried away! XD)
You can find inspiration in action manga, real life, and fighting games (and some other games). Miyavi is a REALLY good model for great poses and you can find a lot of really good pictures of singers and bands at this website (which is also a radio so you can also listen to their music and watch videos, it's just a great website! XD):
TIPS
- Look at real life pictures and pictures for reference and try to notice the details (but do not copy pictures exactly, that'll get you disqualified)
- Things that are closer are usually bigger and things that are far away are usually smaller
- Draw an outline of the pose
- After drawing it, go do something else, then come back and look at it and think about if it actually looks right
- Think about gravity
- Be creative
- Look at yourself for reference, whether it be your hands or feet, or looking at yourself in the mirror, it'll really help if you do (that's what I do all the time)
(Not very good tips, but poses are hard to do and hard to explain how to do)
WHAT WILL GET YOU POINTS/WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
I'm looking for pictures that get my pumped up or feel like wanting to be in that character's pose (like if it's sad, I feel like being in that pose).
- It should be appropriate for the expression on the character(s)'s face
- Be creative (No copying other drawings)
- The harder the pose the more points you'll get (And I know what poses are hard from experience....TT^TT)
- The more interesting the pose the more points (But if it's WEIRD, then it won't, so make sure your pose isn't really weird)
- Go for insane over normal or casual (some sitting positions are pretty boring and most standing pictures are boring, so don't go for those kinds)
- The better the anatomy the more points
- The pose that is best executed and most interesting with the most feeling will win
