i agree completely!! it's all about having fun w/ur art!! if u have to have votes to draw, then some ppl are going to be in for a rude awakening. not all art is going to be praised, and if u do get featured, it should be a good satifaction that u worked hard, not just writing "please vote for me!" but i do agree w/some when they say, if ur going to take the time to look at the art, then vote for it.

usually when i say vote on my pic, i mean it cuz it's something i want ppl to see and something i spent time and effort on.. but usually ppl put some crappy drawing saying vote dammit!.. it can apply to most ppl but not all, but i see wat ur saying :)

yea, thts one thing i really dislike about this site. Wht annoys me more is art with no effort put into it but the person is all *vote for me* then they just get alot, i mean just vote on something you think is worth voting! im never really impressed with the top featured art anymore because of tht

*agrees* Art ISN'T about the votes! You draw because you love to draw. That's how I feel about it. I don't really care if a picture of mine gets voted into the featured section. That's great to know that other people share my love of art, not the votes!

I like the pic. and I kinda agree too! I mean ya its upsetting when no one votes on my art..BUT Im not going to complain about it! I love to draw and thats final! Ill keep drawing matter if I get zero votes!
YAS, kira! -applause- preaching to the choir, buddy. i'm awful tired of people putting these little votey messages into their pictures or just making a scraggly drawing at the bottom and then having a HUGE rant in the picture with a pity story in the artist comment! it's absolutely ridiculous. and i admit, i love ranting. I DO! but that's mostly because i adore talking and talking and talking some more. and i don't rant on simple topics like this. just sit back and deal with it. maybe if people can look at the pictures without having to read some huge message squished in there, they'll actually vote. in actuality, the gripers are just making it worse for themselves, or so i think. they just need to keep their chins up and ride out the storm until some people vote on their OWN accord.
there always seems to be some problem going on here. first over-abundancy of characters from a single series, or how i like to call it, the IN fiasco. then the oc wars. now it's the gripe'n'vote problem. it's ALWAYS something. i don't know if people are just selfish and pessimistic, if they WANT some sort of war to always be going on, or if they're just trying to piss of the rest of us that don't complain.
all the same it drives the non-gripers mad. like you said, kira, we just want to have fun on here, not gather up popularity so you can do whatever you want and get 950346198739 votes easy. so people ought to have a grand ol' time with their pictures and post 'em without hesitation because they had fun.
on another foot, i like that cat. :> it reminds me of apollo...although he looks nothing like that. BUT IT'S STILL A KITTY. -hugsquish- and i also LOVE kira's colouring, especially around the face! good job, kira. XD kira kira kira...deera? MOOSE.
