I'll teach you something with black and shading.
you shaded with a hatching looking pattern, diagonal.
when you shade with black, follow the outline's direction. so his leg is downward, shade in a vertical motion along the outline inward. use the tip our your pencil to get it working better
don't be afraid to use the white or press harder. you see how the guy's pants are a solid green with no white showing through? that's wonderful and what people really like with color. then you come back with a darker green or a black. good job michi^-^
