And since you just started, don't even worry! As long as you keep that feeling of keep trying, then you will most certainly improve! I've been doing full body pics for awhile now, but I have only recently started poses. I mean...action was always hard for me. Um, you don't have to do skeletons, but you know...it may really help if you think about how the joints and stuff have to move. :)

And yes yes yes, references are very helpful! So is getting confidence boosts from friends so....

Actually...I don't. ^^; I usually just try to do the pose by how I think it should look, and by using myself as a reference. Now, if I get frustrated, or if there's something SPECIFIC I want, then yes...I totally use a reference. That's how you learn!! Once you learn enough of the references, then you can use them without looking. :) Like for instance, I have never drawn a skull, so I had to go and find one to use in one of the drawings I just made. It didn't come out too bad. But now...I think I could draw the skull without looking. ;3

I'm starting to get better at hands!! OMG...it's crazy. Feet can be tough...but the more I draw them and understand the bones...it's not as bad.

But don't feel bad! Like I said, you don't learn without referencing. Die Hard Manga Artists suggest it! >XD

Well...looks like you'll get your wish. I finished the picture of PIRATE ROUEN yesterday. X3 Now I just need to color it up. But...I'm really happy with it. It suits him for some reason. ROFLMAO!! I also added some props and practiced a different pose. I just hope it came out as good as I THINK! LOL Oh, and Rouen has his hair tied back. XD I'm sure Katsuo will look good!! Have faith!
