hey thanks! yeah, i actually did look it up on wikipedia... it made me more confused. :-p i get it i think! now i just have to figure out how to make them look cool! lol. i made an inuyasha one a while ago, and it looks kind of bland. i'm working on another right now.
i've never heard of that SAI program, but my college gives out free copies of Adobe Illustrator, and from what i hear, it's pretty good too. :-p
I drew this on Paint Tool SAI. It's Japanese drawing program, and a very good one too.
Now, computer images are divided into two types: raster and vector.
A raster image is made up of pixels. If you zoomed up really close you would be able to see each pixel clearly. A vector is made up of paths and distance. A vector image will calculate how far apart points are so whether you zoom really far out or really close up in can calculate how big the line needs to be, thus making it smooth.
My description might be a little confusing, so if you want to know more you could just look it up on wikipedia.
hey, this is a stupid question, but i am VERY new to the whole "computer art" concept. (about four months ago i started attempting)
ok, so, did you draw this on illustrator, or a program like that? you don't have to answer my questions of course, but you did a terrific job, so i think you must be an expert.
my other question is... what exactly is a vector? from my understanding... its basically a tracing and recoloring of a picture, much less grainy... i'm really not sure.
