Haha I like this sketch!!! The reason your friends probably think that is cuz of the girl's eyebrows and big grey pupils... Soften her expression by giving her more eyelid over the top of her eyes and fixing the pupils/eyebrows. I hope I'm not nit-picking, cuz I like it the way it is too! This is a great drawing to start off your portfolio^^
