Heh, I do the same thing when I first draft a picture: I write down what gets colored what, and usually have lines/arrows pointing towards items, too. I noticed a 2nd version, so I'll head over to that one now!

I may try making a Girl OC picture with my Anya and Kasbaarg's OC. I gotta find a couple more options though...

Ah! Thank you, Jen! I do my best. There's a lot for me to learn and get a better understanding (anatomy, coloring, shading, etc.). That's why I love looking at so many people's works. They help me and inspire me.
